Probably will suck. The momentum feature benefits those who run fakes on 4th down, go for 2, blitzes, etc. If the game's OL protection doesn't cleanup from previous years, this could get real ugly. Right now the game seems to encourage running fakes and doing a lot of arcade style BS. Hopefully the punt block stuff doesn't get too out of hand either, because if it is then everyone will try BS fakes. Be prepared to see Ted Ginn at P :rolleyes:

The Campus Legend is race for the heisman with academics basically. You take tests and have to "balance" your social life by going to parties and this and that. So you could either be a choir boy or a Criminole. :)

The momentum meter is a system that affects you and your opponent through game changing plays. If you score first the momentum begins to swing in your favor. If your opponent is trying to comeback but throws an INT or fumbles the momentum goes more in your favor. Where I'm not comfortable is that fake punts that go for a 1stD, 2pt conversions, and onsides kicks get momentum boost as well. When your momentum is highly in your favor its sort of like your whole team is in the zone.

P.S. Impact WRs aren't very good, its the impact RBs, QBs and LBs/Ss that become problematic.

what do you mean by that?
Impact RBs/QBs- QBs accuracy increases in the zone, but its incredibly dangerous for running QBs who become more elusive, far more difficult to tackle, and can turn near godly. RBs are just that 2x

LBs/Ss and DEs for Tiz- Their ability to cause fumbles skyrockets. Only real negative is the amount of penalties they get for facemask.

There 2 ways, you can send a memory card which you'll get back a month or so after you've had the game or go buy a shark port (xbox) on ebay for 10 bucks or ps2 equivelant (cant remember the name) and download them form the same site for free and save yourslef the postage and time. Playing the the Names is socond to none and really enhances the experience for me.

You can do that, or just do the names of your team's players. Of course this is only feasible if you have a single team, maybe two tops.

you can have them use names there's an option to name the players (generic names) and there's a guy that you can send in your memory card who'll add the names for you. It's actually free but the sight that you get his name from ask you to donate atleast $5 because of the tedious work involved...

That's true. I sent my memory card out last year to a guy who does the work on MaddenNation (I'm not going to say the person's name if that violates board rules.) I didn't know what to expect since this was the first time I had done it. If I lose the memory card, it's $20. I wasn't going to lose sleep over it. The guy sent the card back in 10 days with D1A and D1AA rosters. Great service.

turned in all of my EAsports games that i bought this year (minus head coach) and got a $75 store credit. so i'm not paying anything for NCaa07 and only pay half price for Madden 07.

Ncaa is released on Tuesday.

Picked it up less than 2 hours ago. Just had some time to play with Fresno State. Like the customized playbooks, Fresno State's is much better than last season. DBs cover much better, but the deep ball is still a friendly weapon. I don't like that you can't go through defensive players in reverse direction, but that's minute. You do get more pressure on kicks as packaged, but I'm afraid where that could go if someone abuses their depth chart. So far its nice, but I think a lot of cheese will be uncovered in this game.

Someone please tell me that it isn't as horrible as madden was for 360 last year. I know about some of the stuff being left out for 360, I am just worried about gameplay. Madden 06 for 360 was probably the worst video game I have ever played, and I was hoping that the made NCAA alot better.

i seriously despised EA for doing that. the 360 version was terrible and i know that NCAA will definitly not be that bad because they didn't change the entire gameplay, they just took some features of the game out but the gameplay is still very good unlike last years Madden.

Thanks for getting back to me, and I feel you about Madden last year. I guess I will still be excited to get home and play it then.:hyper:

I have both and I think it's worth it, but if you like all the features like race for the heisman and stuff, then you'd probably want to pick up the PS2 version. The 360 version has the best graphics (obviously) and has all the normal game play you would expect (dynasty and online). If you're contemplating getting a PS3 but want something that will be as good or better, but don't want to wait, I say go ahead and grab a 360.

Cool.... yeah I never really played the race for the heisman in last years version much anyways... Just tried it a few times.... I would much rather take the Badgers and recruit players... that is half of the fun... recruiting.. haha. Do you know anyplace to get a good deal on the xbox360... overstock doesn't have there $45.00 off instantly anymore.

I am seriously thinking about ordering the xbox360 and ncaa 07 off of overstock.com right now... you can get the xbox360 for $307 shipped... so then I would just need to get an extra wireless controller and ncaa 07. To the people who own both the xbox360 and ncaa 07 right now is it worth it? I was a ps2 guy and was thinking about waiting for the ps3 but with the outrageous price it is suppose to be I think I might just get the xbox360.

I have both. It's definately worth it in my opinion. Very good game system and very good game. The game plays quite a bit more real then the PS2 or Xbox.. I think right now would be a great time to get it, assuming you play Madden as well.

I was a ps2 guy, and am definately glad I went with the 360.

Great news..... I think my gf just went and bought both the xbox360 and ncaa 07 for me on her lunch break.... can't wait to go play it tonight. But ****... I won't be home until 9:00 p.m. because of an all employee meeting. So anyone have anything more to share as far and what they think about the game so far or something that is new in the game.

Also I was curious if anyone knows a way to get updated roster with names if you don't have a memory card for the 360 but will have the hard drive for it?

The XBox 360 version of this game is terrible. You can't change the player's equipment if you create a player, heck, you can't even change a current players equipment or number. There are no clear visors, only dark visors. It looks dumb to see QB Kyle Wright wearing a flippin dark visor. The juke left and right juke moves on the right analog are terrible. The Impact stick is nice, but waaaay to friendly, you can basically keep hitting the impact stick going up the middle and fall for about 10 yards. Havent played the PS2 version but i'll bet that it's good. To me, NCAA 07 for 360 is almost identical to Madden 06 for 360. Another dissappointment is that you can't play on the same team. Me and my buddy started a dynasty and we couldn't even play on the same team. User QB to User WR is so much fun. How could EA mess up and not have clear visors? Doesn't make sense....:nonono:

ncaa/campus legend hates freshman.

my tailback (yes he goes to FSU so what of it LOL) is #2 in the ncaa in rushing with 2100 yards and #1 in Tds with over 30. He's #2 on the Maxwell and #2 on the Doak Walker but he's not up for the heisman...

Not that hard if you sim games that your team is pretty much assured to win. A buddy of mine did that where he only played ranked teams. Not to mention some people are more fans of the recruiting and offseason task.

Has anybody played the "Campus Legend" mode yet? It's been really difficult for me in the sense of trying to "juggle" everything.

1. You have to study in order to keep your GPA above 2.0 or you're suspended and can't play (I was an ***** and chose a difficult major, which requires more study time).
2. You have to attend social events in order to get/remain popular.
3. You have to do position drills in order to gain attributes.

And all of this has to be done in order to even BECOME a "legend!"

I went through my first year, and missed HALF the season because my grades slipped! Then you visit a tudor (they suggest this to get your grades back up), but that takes 2 nights (or, 2 scheduled events) away, which leaves little/no time for the rest of the stuff (socials, and drills).

So, I still made Freshman All-American. But, the beginning of the second season I still couldn't play because my GPA was 1.8! I chose an easier major, but so far it doesn't seem to make a big difference in required study time.

So I gave up and headed to "Dynasty" mode! At least there I can play every game (with me in it).

Any of you figure this "Campus Legend" mode out?

Ok, you guys got it down easier than I did! I chose US History as a major, and it was in the "difficult" (or whatever - the hardest) category. I think I was just trying to mix it up too much between studying and social, etc.

Looks like I just need to be consistent every week. I'll pick it back up again (starting over of course)!

I chose to be a QB. I like being able to get passing and rushing stats. I might choose to be a RB when I start over.

Just made an awesome comeback on NCAA. Xbox Live/360

I was playing some person, level 8, I'm level 5. He was Auburn.. I was Va Tech (was looking for a new team to mess around with).

Well anyhow.. First half I was absolutely terrible. He was up 38-14. First thing he does in the second half is return a kick for a touchdown. 45-14 him. Anyway, blablabla, I start playing really well, I make some big plays, a couple turnovers in my favour, and suddenly it's 55-51 him. 30 seconds left, I'm 60 yards from the endzone with 1 timeout :cool2:. Blabla few plays later theres 2 seconds left, 25 yards out. I run a deep post -- Happens he blitzed his SS, he's wide open after burning the corner and I make a perfect throw for the win. :cool2:

I got my xbox 360 tonight and just got done playing a couple of games of ncaa 07.... Its pretty sweet. I took me a while to get use to the controls because I was use to the ps2 controls. Does anyone know yet if there is a way to download a roster update so that the players have names instead of just numbers?

they can't give the players real names but there is an option to let the game give all the players automated names and you can also go into roster's and change to player's real names if you choose to do that manually.

Whaddup Tiz! Since i've turned 21, I haven't spent much time near a computer. :shots: lol, been a bit drunk just about every night. Anyways, as for NCAA, I talked to a guy at Gamestop and he says they've already had a helluva lot of people return NCAA 07 for XBox 360. The PS2 game is fine from what I hear, haven't played it yet but PS2 never has bad gameplay. How in the world could they forget the Equipment category in Create a Player? That's the first thing I do when I get a sports game, create a freakin player! I was gonna have some fresh accessories too. lol :cool2:

Haven't played them yet but I have played as them, the toughest tandem I've faced is Troy Smith and Ted Ginn. It's kind of unfair playing online against or as Ohio State because nobody can defend Ginn's speed, your best bet is to blitz the crap out Troy Smith and get to him before he can launch one downfield to Ginn.

I've shut Ginn out on several occasions online :coolgleamA:

Requires either good quarterback pressure or me using the safety myself though.

I myself really havn't been dominated by any QB/WR tandems, online or against the CPU -- However, the toughest one for me probably is when you play a team with tons of decent recievers, but none of them are completely dominant, or top of the line, kinda makes you sleep on them at the beginning when your getting a feel for the style of their offense, and they can burn you pretty bad right off the bat.

I've had success with a lot too. Reggie Ball's athleticism combined with Calvin Johnson at wideout is pretty hard to stop if you know what your doing. Ryan Perrilloux to Xavier Carter is deadly. I usually line Carter up at the #2 wideout position, and with 99 speed and the right routes, people sleep on him early and I go big, and then I can run or play short game really easy because they always play their FS, usually the SS as well, deep. Troy Smith to Ted Ginn's pretty much the same, athletic QB, fast reciever. Ginn drops a lot of passes though if you try to play him in areas where he'll get a lot of contact.

The team that people have the most success against me with is WVU though. Pat White is overated in the passing department, Slaton is a fast/quick runner who can be an effective reciever as well, their fullback (who usually makes a few quiet plays the entire game but are key ones) is pretty athletic, tons of solid wideouts, a solid O-Line, and a fairly decent D.

Hey sorry I missed ya.... I was on about 3:15 ish...... I ended playing someone with the headsets... I don't think I really like using the headset... the person I was playing you could tell he was a kid and was acting really stupid... He kept talking all this trash how he was running all over me and he couldn't be stopped I ended up beating him 54-16 and he disconnected his headset for the second half when he was getting spanked..... hahaha. Well have to try and play some other time... I'm waiting for my memory card to come in the mail so I can get the roster update with names for the players.

I don't think you can rent games for the PS3 either. A game can only be used on one system, won't run on any others.

Might have something to do with the prestige (or lack thereof) of the Wisconsin program. I've been in Campus Legend mode the entire time so I couldn't say.

Hopefully you do get your rosters today. I got mine on Friday. It just isn't right until you've got 'em.

Well... I tried a dynasty with Miami and I was having the same problem with getting recruites during the offseason. Once question for ya, when you pitch them something that they like, for instance lets say program prestige and they like it and you get the green plus thing next to it but they don't commit yet, do you keep pitching them the same thing everytime since you found what they like? Sorry that may be confusing what I just wrote there.... haha.

Also you are playing campus legend on ps2?

not sure where, most of the time if you just do the study you'll get the answers but have to remember them. i just pick an easy major cause it's really irrelevant as your position drills and onfield performance will get your ratings up quick enough.

i was wondering about that. it seems to me that my major isnt really reflecting much of my attributes. or are they?
