St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger, who skipped a mandatory meeting Thursday when the team reported to training camp, has agreed in principle to a six-year, $62.5 million contract that secures his future in St. Louis beyond 2007.

Seems like a really good time to get an injury.:stirthepot:

As much as I hate to admit it . . . they need to pay that man. He's a darn good quarterback and I can't wait until we whip his team when they're at full strength.

$27m

Think it's a decent deal for both sides, Mark Bulger gets lots of money and the Rams get one of the better QBs in the league without destroying themselves capwise.

I agree he is worth it. The only concern I would have (if I were a Rams fan) is that reoccurring shoulder injury. I guess the Rams and their medical staff are confident he can stay healthy.

What recurring shoulder injury? That shoulder injury happened during the 2005 season, where he missed more than half of the season. He played almost every snap of every game last season and there was no mention of a shoulder injury.

Bulger is one of the most underrated QBs in the league and yes he is worth every penny.I'd take him over Mike Vick anytime.

Thats a good deal for a top 5 QB. Bulger deserved to get paid.

I can't remember when but he dinged that same shoulder again and it was not in a real hard hit. I think right before a byweek.

That alot of money being shelled out from a team that was known to have a cheap owner when they were in LA.

Agreed one of the most underrated QBs coz' the media's attention is always focused towards the Manning Brothers, Michael Vick, Tom Brady, Matt Leinart, Roethlisberger, Carson Palmer...etc. Although I don't have any problems with the QBs I mention right now Bulger is way better than most of them except for Peyton & Brady. Bulger is pretty consistent and deserves every penny.
