Fantasy Leagues

How many of you are in Fantasy leagues and how many are you in? I've been invited to at least ten or more on this MB alone, but I just don't have the time. I was wondering what the average number of leagues people participate in.

Wow. Have you played that many before?

Last year was my first time playing FF. I was in only 2 leagues. Didn't do terrible but didn't do great either. :tomato:

This year I'm in 4 so far.

My leagues look like:

- 5th year, 10 team, 2 keepers, $100 buy in

- 14th year, 10 team, 3 keepers, $65 buy in

- 1st year, 10 team, probably a re-draft league, $25 buy in

- 2nd year, 14 team, dynasty league, free

- single season yahoo league, 14 teams, free

- single season yahoo league, 10 teams, free

The first three are against different groups of my friends, the second three are against MB friends.

I'm in 3 leagues, one that will probably be a dead league, one that you have to pay for ($100), but the winner gets $1000, second place $500, third $250, and I believe 4th and 5th get $150 and $100. Problem with that league is there are 28 teams...:yikes:

I'm in 2. That's enough for me, so I haven't looked to do any with this board.

The rules in my leagues are a bit strange, one out of tradition (the guy who was commissioner first year set it up that way and the others like it and don't want to change), and the other I have been tweaking a little each year from yahoo default settings to try and get something better.

So the tradition one is weird because you start 2 QBs and 2 DEFs. This really messes with the draft because QBs are as valuable as RBs all of a sudden (almost moreso).

The other league I switched the positions when we grew to 12 teams. I essentially cut the TE position, made one RB spot RB/WR, and made one WR spot WR/TE. This was because at both WR and TE, with 12 teams, the depth was getting really bad. I really like these settings, but they do take the 2nd tier of TEs right out of consideration.

Should go to a new site if your getting taken for an $800 rake. Thats a lot for someone to be pocketing.
