12 team league. 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 W/R, 1 TE, 1 DEF, 1 D, 1 DB. .5 PPR, Passing = 20 yards per point and 4 per TD, Rushing/Receiving = 10 yards per point and 6 per TD. lots of bonuses for 100/300 yard+ games.
1. (11) Travis Henry RB
2. (14) Clinton Portis RB
3. (35) Roy Williams WR
4. (38) Donald Driver WR (I hear the ankle injury is minor, even if he misses some early games I have guys to fill in.)
5. (59) Santana Moss WR
6. (62) Deion Branch WR
7. (83) Tony Romo QB
8. (86) DeAngelo Williams RB
9. (107) Kevin Jones RB
10. (110) Heath Miller TE
11. (131) Alex Smith QB
12. (134) Brian Urlacher DL
13. (155) Dallas DEF
14. (158) Ronald Curry WR (I was really done with WR's, but couldn'y pass on Curry this late.)
15. (179) Stephen Gostkowski K
16. (182) Kerry Rhodes DB
17. (203) Greg Olsen TE (Couldn't pass on Olsen here, too much upside)
So the team is:
QB: Tony Romo, Alex Smith
RB: Travis Henry, Clinton Portis, DeAngelo Williams, Kevin Jones
WR: Roy Williams, Donald Driver, Santana Moss, Deion Branch, Ronald Curry
TE: Heath Miller, Greg Olsen
K: Stephen Gostkowski
DEF: Dallas
D: Brian Urlacher
DB: Kerry Rhodes
I left myself without a backup and K, DEF, D, and DB , but they all have late bye weeks so I can make those decisions at week 8+ probably after I trade off some WRs or RBs.

i would have gone brees or manning at #2...portis has no line = no yards or scores...
i have to agree i don't like any of the picks. i think you reached on each one.

Did you say Portis has no O-line?
Washington has one of the best O-lines in the league and have for years. They lost Dockery this year, but smartly picked up Pete Kendall to replace him.

I disagree.
Henry has been productive on horrible teams like Buffalo and Tennessee, he'll explode in Denver. He's a very good RB.
Portis is Portis...he was Portis in Denver and he has been Portis in Washington.

Where do you see my weaknesses?
Williams and Driver are solid receivers. I like Henry quite a bit this year if he's healthy. Other than those guys...

It seems I'm way higher on Portis then alot of people...possibly because my memory goes back more than 1 year...

I've got him on about half of my teams as well.

you're draft is okay. i have henry and portis in a few of my leagues, so i like those picks. you need to upgrade your QB, but maybe that's just because i don't like romo. WR looks solid with williams and driver. Heath miller should be decent in a new offense where they will pass more. i don't think Kevin jones will do much seeing as how it's still uncertain whether he will play or not.

Yeah...Kevin Jones is a boom or bust....might have to hold him till midseason for it to pay off.

The team isn't awful, but neither QB is a lock for fantasy production, and both Travis Henry and Clinton Portis have recent history of injury, and quality backups who could steal a lot of carries.
Based purely on risk, I would say Portis at 14 is a bit of a reach.
But hey, I like your WRs. I'd be looking to trade one of them and Portis for a better RB.

I usually wouldn't take Portis that high...but at 14 my choices were...
Ronnie Brown
Jones-Drew
Thomas Jones
Edge
Portis
I need to go RB cause I don't pick again until 35 where my choices at RB get so much weaker.
Out of that bunch I had to go Portis and I really didn't feel bad about taking him at 14 actually.

I'd have preferred Jones-Drew I think. What QB's/WR's were available?

what are you talking about? Henry IS a broncos RB, giving more reason to draft him.
and....i don't like the kevin jones pick. was tatum bell already taken? he's the primary back there...
and how the hell did greg olsen fall to your very last pick?? holy moly what a steal...

Looks good if its a 12 team league. For a 10 teamer I'd rather have a slightly more predictable #2 back.

It's a 10 team league. I had the #4 pick and it was straight running backs. I ended up taking Marvin with my #2. All in all, I'm pretty sure I'll dominate. One of those other four backs should be solid. I'm hoping MBIII gets the starting nod in Dallas.

Tatum Bell went inexplicably in round 2!
Kevin Jones was my boom or bust pick, he could pay dividends mid-season. If he doesn't stay on PUP he could even do it earlier. Tatum Bell has speed, but really kinda sucks as an NFL RB.
