USC Trojans make their first visit to Nebraska since 1969 when they play the Cornhuskers in ABC's Saturday Night Football. Brent Musburger, Kirk Herbstreit, and field reporter Lisa Salters will announce the game commentary and KGO Channel 7 in the Bay Area will televise the game with kickoff right after 5:00PM at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

I just total domination now. If Neb is ranked #13, then we're going undefeated this year!

****! My TV works, but ABC does not. Every channel, but ABC!!!!!! :scare:
Guess I'm not missing much. Stafon Johnson is dominating even though Booty hasn't had to do much except "Manage the game"

Ever since Neb hired Callahen(sp) Neb has gone down hill. Their whole team sucks because of this *****. Neb is known for their running game and strong defense. Now it is almost non existent.
Being born and raised in Neb my loyalties lie with the Cornhuskers. USC is my 3rd favorite team so it sucked big time yet I was happy USC won. The way USC played they will have an awesome season and with their running game they will eat up a lot of yardage.

actually Nebraska was crap b4 Callahan. that option offense was getting destroyed by faster defenses. see the option doesn't work against speed. Callahan is actually getting them back to respectability and it doesn't happen over night. i think he is doing a pretty darn good job.
I will agree with you on the option offense getting destroyed by a faster defense. When Osborn retired and Zolich took over he was trying to keep the run game as Osborn did but it wasnt working for him.
When I was younger I remembered Nebraska being a powerhouse team but within the last 10-15 years they seem to be lacking anything but

Yeah but it still helps in BCS standings and Polls. I have never seen a Nebraska D-Line get manhandled like that, it really makes you miss Carriker and Moore. USC's O-Line dominated the game, they'll talk about Booty and the RBs but it was the O-Line, everywhere else the huskers were competitive.
And as far as the Huskers being overrated, look at your top 25 teams who have lost to an unranked opponent. This year there is not a clearly defined football elite as in years past. You might call this the year of the underdog if it keeps going.

Yeah you must be right none of these teams are any good. They all lost to lower ranked or unranked teams. This isn't even including some of the close calls or division 2 teams who ended up in close games.
Michigan
Boise State
UCLA
Arkansas
Tennessee
Florida State
Louisville
There's only a few teams who have been overpowering: USC, LSU, Florida, and Oklahoma.

I never posted anything about Nebraska being overrated.
Somebody else did but they either deleted it or changed their post, taking out that Nebraska was overrated. I guess that makes it a closed subject.
