Per Big Lincoln on his radio show on knbr around the bay area.

Says Porter is unhappy with his role and ****.

This ******* can never break 1000 yards or even 10 TDs and he wants out ? Good, guys like Curry and Gabriel are better anyway.

Anyway the names that were mentioned where, GB, SF, and Philly. Could be dealt draft day.

This was taken from another board so take it for what it's worth but I wouldn't mind a duo of Porter/Bryant.

:welcome2: I'd give up nothing higher than a 5th, if the raiders are cool with that, its a done deal.

lol gonna take more than that but maybe as low as a third?

we dont have a third this year... perhaps we can give them barlow.

the Raiders will never give him up for a 5th pick... they know they can get better elsewhere throughout the league.

Porter + 7th pick for the 6th pick if Young is available?

nice
Just because I said it, it won't happen. :falldownlaugh: It made sense to me last night though. I can also see us taking Davis at 6, Deangelo at 22, and trading Barlow for Lelie even up. But.... like I said, because I said it, it won't happen.:jay:

ha, i was thinking the same thing. but if this is true, there could just be a WR swap. javon walker for jerry porter

Yeah we do. Didnt we get an extra one from Washington, or was that for next year?

You're correct. We got Washington's 3rd, and traded away our third in the trade-up for 22.

have to agree.
Porter has been consistent despite a lack luster offense over there.
Not so sure as to why he wants out tho.

Waited all those years behind Tim and Jerry and finally got his chance to be the unquestioned #1 guy, but Randy comes and ruins that for him. He wants to be the guy, plain and simple.

Porter has been wanting out of Oakland ever since the ink dried on the deal that sent Moss to Oakland.

I'm not sure he would be a good fit with Bryant, but if their Ego's could handle it I'd see if the Raiders would take the 2007 4th Washington gave us. though I'd have to believe they want a first day pick for him.

We have the third we got from the Redskins.

Porters a bum. He said he tries only when he wants and it seems like hes always having some kind of dispute/problem. It'd rather get Walker or let Hamilton/Battle see that time.

Look i would agree but we need linebackers. Draft davis and draft greenway.
Manny Lawson cant play in coverage if u watch his films. :ninerh:

Love to have Porter on the niners... Don't see it happening though :(

Let's say Young is gone and the Raiders want Vernon Davis. I'd swap in a heartbeat for Joey Porter and take Huff at #7. Huff + Porter > VD.

Why is this turning into a "lets see what we can get for Jerry Porter" thread. He's a nice player, but we really don't need him. Feel the same way about Javon Walker.

I don't want to see Porter in a Niner Jersey. He would just be another Brandon Lloyd character wise. However, I do admit that he has a lot of potential. I would rather see Ronald Curry in a Niner uni  That guy is a true athlete and has mad love for the game. To come back from an achilles tear twice and not hang up the cleats is amazing. He might still have a shot to play in the NBA too if he wanted... I had the opportunity to watch him play in HS. He was much better than Vick in HS and a better athlete. I just wish his achilles would stay healthy...

Win-win. They keep anyone from leapfrogging them, and we still get our guy and a decent reciever with size.

THIS one, I like a lot, though it would depend on who Denver has to choose from at 15. Not sure what Denver would gain from this, except to rid themselves of Lelie.

This is a deal that may take place AFTER sunday night.

Assuming they can't get Walker from GB.

But Ronald Curry is not a better wide receiver than Jerry Porter. He's always injured for one, and just doesn't get the seperation that Porter does. A better athlete than Michael Vick!? Please.

I said in HS buddy. Vick was not a two sport athelete in HS nor did he put up the numbers that Curry did...since he quit basketball at UNC and since he tore his achilles at UNC it has been a big struggle for him. Vick is much better than him now and was better than him as a QB in college. In my original post I said specifically HS.

I really think that from the last....OH, 3 to 4 years, WRs were never our issue or problem in term of POTENCY. It is the Offensive Systems (and playcallings), Offensive Line Problems and then some.
Far and away this teams achilles heel. EVERYTHING on offense opens up with great line play something this team hasnt seen in a while............untill this year?

Well, assuming Vince Young is still available, swap picks with the Raiders and a 4th rounder in return.
