Madden announced for Revolutioin (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6148455.html)
Nice to see EA is actually giving the system a chance, instead of taking the easy way out and porting Madden over.

part of that blame in the past was to be put on Nintendo..
How.
EA is lazy when it comes to their multiconsole games.
With the current systems, they programmed it for the PS2 and ported them to the GC and Xbox (actually, a lot of the 3rd parties did).
In that case, part of the blame must be placed on MS and Sony as well (going by your logic), even though EA was the one who made the game.

EA is one of the laziest companies ever. they just use the previous years madden with a new gimmick. nice to see them making a new game for rev.
im dumb whats the difference between a port and whatever this is?

A port is when a developer (in this case, EA) takes existing code and changes it so it will run on another system.
With Madden, EA only programs on the PS2. They then take the code and transfer it to the GC and Xbox.
The upside for EA is that its easier (and cheaper) to release 3 versions (less work). The downside is that it holds the more powerful systems back.
Tiz, just because they have a wide range of games, doesn't mean they aren't lazy.
Madden is the same every year, with small, minor upgrades, same with EA's other sports games.
They bought Command and Conquer, they bought the Sims, they bought Burnout.

"Players will hike the ball by mimicking a quarterback receiving the ball from the center, and then pass it to a receiver by making a throwing gesture with the free-hand controller. The faster the passing motion, the more of a bullet pass it becomes (in previous Madden editions, bullet passes were made by holding the passing button down longer).
Kicking the ball will be accomplished by sweeping the controller up as if it were a kicker's leg striking the ball. A fast, level swing will make for a hard, straight kick.
The Revolution controller will also come into play when running the ball, as jerking the controller left or right will make the ball-carrier juke to either side, while shoving it straight ahead will make him stiff-arm the opposition. "
It will be cool if it works good.

You can still use the gamecube controller also.

remember the nintendo's "glove" and how long that lasted LOL
all in all it's an interesting concept but in the end, is that really what you want to do with your controller in order to play the game at home...
Except Nintendo didn't make the Powerglove, Mattel did (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Glove), it was your basic 3rd party controller.
Yes, I want to do different stuff with my controller. I've been playing games since the NES and this past gen was the worst one I've played. Games are getting stale and repitative. All developers are doing are releasing lame sequels and rehashes.
Look at how many GTA clones there are, its overkill.
There's a reason why 3rd party developers are posting financial losses (EA just posted a $16 million loss). The industry isn't as healthy as it seems (3rd parties are either going out of business (Acclaim), merging (Square-Enix, Namco-Bandai) or their posting financial losses (EA, Midway). Also, games sales have been down for the past 7 months.

I agree. They make sucky games, they get sucky profits. Folks know what a decently made game is, and unfortunately a lot of these big-wig-game develpers are indeed *lazy* and that monopoly stunt they pulled over last year was the icing on the cake.
Now all they have to do is change the number from '05 to '06 and they expect us fools to fall for it again. sheesh.
