It may be surprising to some of you that I didn't know this considering Shaun is my favorite NFL player and that I actually love the NCAA Football series. But I just found out for the first time a couple of days ago that this is Shaun's second EA cover. I didn't play NCAA Football back in 2000 but apparently Shaun graced the cover of NCAA Football 2001. This is one of those weird things that I should have known but just didn't. Am I the only one who didn't remember him being on this cover? I hadn't seen it discussed anywhere when it was announced he would be on the cover of Madden.

i do wish they had names on the back of the uni's. as far as them looking slow, it's because they were slow because Joe Pa wasn't getting the top recruits
I've often contemplated if some recruits choose a school that has their name on the jersey, over the nameless ones. I think the nameless ones promote more team identity. However, people tend to only remember you by number. You really have to make a name for yourself to get past the nameless jersey...or go to USC where you get maximum exposure, and become a star there.

there is a Madden curse not NCAA curse....Well...
2003 Joey Harrington- Oregon goes back down, Harrington didn't win the Heisman, his NFL career sux
2004 Carson Palmer- USC is screwed by BCS
2005 Larry Fitzgerald- Pitt makes Fiesta Bowl because of horrible Big East and they quickly become Alex Smith's prostitute for the evening
2006 Desmond Howard- Michigan has a bad season for its standards, including another crushing loss to Ohio State
2007 Reggie Bush- USC already has a bunch of offseason lowlights

Everybody has the Seahawks pretty much locked in to win the division without any kind of fight from the other teams, but what happens to Seattle if the Madden Curse does (and it will, it hasn't faltered yet) come true and Shaun Alexander gets hurt early or even mid-season ?
Ray Lewis = 147 tackles, 1 sack. Only slightly worse than his previous year.
Eddie George = 403 att*, 1509 yrds*, 14 TDs*, 50 rec*, 453 yrds, 2 TD
* Marks a career high.
4 out of the 6 does not make it a curse, merely a coincidence.
