The originator of this zany idea seems to have forgotten that before AT&T Park was built exclusively for the Giants baseball games, the 49ers shared Candlestick with the Giants.

Result was terrible. Ground broken up to accommodate baseball to the detriment of football. Thank God that ended!

Explain to me how they are going to fit a football field in AT&T Park.

The San Francisco Demons of the XFL played all 5 of their home games there, so we know a football field would fit.

Not a good place. It only holds 43,000 and it would need around 60,000. Also for the Bowl games you speak of they have both teams on the same sideline. They are in right field because the stands on the 3rd base side are so low tot he ground they would be blocked by the players.

I can't see a way they could construct it to work for NFL football.

I've been to At & T park and no way....its not big enough.....Besides the fact...they need their own stadium.......Do you really want to see them playing on dirt/grass...It looks horrible and I think its not fair to the players to ask them to play on that...SC would be great. i really like the area.....ITs clean and really easy to get to.....And if the lame politicians looked around they would see there are alot of teams don't play in their name city...Look at the cowboys.....All those politicans care about is their own pockets...They don't care about the team or their fans.....:go9ers:

relax, i was totally kidding. no way i would want to see the stadium shared.
I just dont want them to move to Santa Clara, I live in the North bay, and it would add another 40 minutes to my drive

I have a better idea. The 49ers should design the field with secret trap doors to suck opposing players into a dungeon one by one. When our 11 guys are going up against only 5 defenders, maybe, just maybe we'll actually score.

Here's an idea. Quit being slefish and a whiny little baby. There are season ticket holders that live in Sacramento where I'm from and they don't complain about the drive.
