Lets say the Bengals have another average season. Does he come back as coach? From the reports of him yelling "if you don't want to be here, don't show," doesn't sound like he has control of that team. Him asking for a GM seems like a ploy to try to get one more year.

Marvin Lewis is the defensive version of Brian Billick.

I doubt he gets canned. The offense is playing well.

If he just cuts all the trouble makers and drafts all defense, he can get the team back on track. If nothing else, he's been the best coach the Bengals have had since the 80's, and given several other teams are in worse shape, the pool of coaches that might better is limited.

4th and 1 on his own 36, and Lewis went for it. Didn't get it. Better hope it doesn't lead to some points.

Edit- Just an update, the chiefs had to punt it.

fire him, he obviously can't control his team. the discipline and leadership is terrible.

You can't forget its all-pro defense.

Marvin Lewis should be fired. He's had 5 years or so to rebuild that team. And they've never had a decent defense.

Bengals should re-hire Sam Wyche, the offense would probably get even better. They would just need to get some defense lol. :P

i see Cinci as a good place for Singletary.

I'd be surprised if Singletary became a HC.

The problem with Lewis is that he is a defensive coach but his defense is still horrible. That team has alot of talent and only has one win to show for it. I think that if he goes below .500 this season, he will be gone.
