View Full Version : Spend 22nd overall pick on Antonio Cromartie

We shouldn´t use our 2nd first round pick to draft a DE or LB although we have tremendous need at both of that spots.
We should concentrate on a superb cornerback that is compared to a man who is considered being the "best ever": Mr. Deion Sanders.
Cromartie is a great prospect who should be a stud corner when earning more experience and getting to know how to play as an NFL starter.
Cromartie is considered being the best corner available in this year´s draft by many NFL scouts.
Please,Mr. Nolan: Take a shot, if Antonio is there at #22!

Personally, I think Cromartie will be long gone by the time we pick at #22. My guess is he ends up being a San Diego Charger.

I wouldnt be suprised if the Pats went after Cromartie

Deangelo Williams, enough said!
I could live with that! I really like this guy!
But I doubt the Niners would take DeAngelo Williams if they already drafted Vernon Davis with the 6th overall pick. That´d be too much offense.

We should only go after a CB with pick number 22 if we picked up a LB with our 6th pick. OLB is our biggest need area right now.
but it would be too hard to pass up on Cromartie if he were available at #22...

 We will take VD @ #6 and will take a LB-Bobby Carpenter at 22, Antonio Cromartie will be gone before our number 22, but i wouldn't rule out deangelo williams:headbang: !!!!!
I'm hoping for Manny Lawson at 22. If not I'll settle for Kamerion Wimbley, Bobby Carpenter, or even DeAneglo Williams.

Do you guys really think we would draft Deangelo if he's there at 22 even though we have Barlow and Gore.

YES! That kid is pretty explosive and a fullpower workhorse in the backfield. Nolan and Turner are really impressed by him!

So would that mean we trade Barlow

I wouldn´t rule that out. Who know´s what helpful compensation we could still get for him.

I really hoping Cromartie falls to us at 22 but he'd have to get passed Miami, Kansas City, San Diego and New England so it's not likley to happen. I do hope to see one of these guys fall to our spot S/CB Jimmy Williams, LB Chad Greenway, LB Ernie Sims or Tye Hill.

I dont think we should draft Greenway at 22. I like the rest though.
lawson or wimbley would be my ideal choice.

CB is not our biggest need right now. Our biggest need is OLB, so if we to V. Davis at #6, then we can use our next pick at CB because we don't have a great OLB in our starting lineup. Plus we won't pick up a starting OLB in the third round. So it all depends on our #6 pick.
i agree with you Cb is not our biggest need!!!

yeah i know , we could sit here andtalk all we want but things could go from great to bad in a second, or vise versa, I just hope we get people that will help us right away, because we need them!!!!

Picking a CB this early doesnt help us much if we dont have anyone to rush the passer. We need to draft someone who can get to the QB with this pick otherwise our secondary is gonna get toasted. The following assume that Cromartie is available at 22: If we draft Davis at #6, then A LB is a priority at this pick (winbley, Lawson, Carpenter or any other LB rated in this area), if we cant get Davis and end with with Hawk, then and only then maybe I can see drafting Cromartie here. If for whatever reason we are #6 and get neither of the above and Huff becomes our pick, then again a LB should be our choice.

I don't think we should take a CB with the 22 we just picked up Sammy Davis recently with a trade with the Chargers. DEANGELO WILLIAMS ALL THE WAY #22!!

i don't think sammy davis is the answer for our secondary woes. the addition of harris and davis give us depth and spencer looks like he can become a quality corner in this league but like knobs said, cromartie has shutdown ability and also size. i think lawson will be off the board, carpenter is underrated, it will be a tough decision.

Cromartie has a ton of potential but we need to address our non-existent pass rush that would leave Cromartie out to dry.
