The York's aren't selling the team anytime soon, and these guys haven't expressed any interest, but...

anyone think it'd be funny if one of ( or both ) the Google co-founders bought the 49ers just to further their competition with Microsoft ( Co-Founder Paul Allen ).

I know the York's aren't gonna part with it anytime soon, but those Google boys would be a good fit, billionaires, based outside of SF. Could fund a new stadium on their own, get the best coaches.

Of course the stadium would probably littered with dynamic ads run through the Google engine, but it'd be worth it. It would hear people talking and put up related ads in the chair in front of you.

That would be great anything better then the Yorks and mabe they will keep the stadium at Hunters Point cuz i would hate the team moving to Santa Clara.

they said the only other option was a toxic waste dump site. I'd like them to stay in san fran but I don't want to mutate at their games

I think the yorks should have to pass that test too...

ha, so that's where this thread ended up. Was really meant to be more about Google and a dream ownership than about the new stadium, but I can see the topic quickly slanted into it.

What'd you expect? You said it yourself the Yorks are not selling. Oracle wanted to buy a while ago and so did Steve Young and a group, so there are dream scenarios out there but York is not selling.

i keep on hearing on the site "the yorks aint selling blah blah blah" well every man has his price. maybe the offers aren't that good yet? well, from the yorks standpoint anyway.
