(as some of you may and may not know, i idolized sean taylor on the field. since his days at the university of miami i looked up to his for his up tempo play and nose for the ball. personally, i was ready to stop playing but watching taylor play i wanted to be jus like him. from the tape on the facemask to the visor and so on, i just wanted to be like him. as a result, i am still playing today at one of the best junior college if not the best in america.
please, take time to post your condolances for the taylor family as well as sean taylor himself. feel free to post pictures . NEXT WEEK, I WILL PERSONALLY PRINT ALL PAGES OF THIS THREAD AND MAIL IT TO THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS PRACTICE FACILITY. thank you for you time and please do not let his legace die.
i have incorporated a youtube video link in honor of the late, great sean taylor.)
Sean Micheal Maurice Taylor was born April 1, 1983 in Miami Florida to Parents Pedro Taylor and Donna Junor. He was raised by his father and step-mother Josephine Taylor in the Richmond Heights district of Miami-Dade Country.
Taylor started hid preperatory career at Miami-Killian Senior high school but later transfered to Gulliver where he was given the opportunity to play offense and defense. The number 1 recurit in Miami-Dade County, Taylor later committed to the University of Miami (FL) after rushing for 1,300 yards 44 touchdowns and racking up over 200 Tackles including to seperate occasions in the state playoffs where he totalled over 400 rushing yards.
Selected number 5 overall in the 2004 NFL Draft, Taylor was an immediate impact for the Washington Redskins with 89 total tackles and 4 interceptions.
The 2006 Pro Bowler's life was cut short on Novermber 27, 2007, a day after being shot in the groin. A career cut way too short, Taylor accumulated 257 career tackles, 7 interceptions and 8 forced fumbles over a 3 and a half year career.
Sean Taylor is survived by his fiancee, daughter and parents.

I am a manager at Captain D's Seafood in Northern Va. Instead of doing our daily sign change I decided to make up my own to honor the late Sean Taylor, though I will probable get in trouble for the act, I thought it was worth it to honor one of the great up-incoming stars of the NFL. I know the picture is dark and small but I thought I would post it anyway.
RIP Sean Taylor

RIP Sean Taylor Awesome man. Really awesome.
I loved Sean Taylor and everything about his career and the way he acted to the fans...a true class act with everyone...his loss is one that will echo for years within the Redskins organization, his talent and the ability he was bringing to the defense was something revolutionary for his position, and he'll be missed every game from here on out by his teammates, his coaches, his FANS, and most importantly, his family...
Rest In Peace Sean, and God Bless, we'll never forget you

I just loved watching him play my friend had season tickets this year to the Skins, it was amazing watching how opposing QB would shy away from throwing the ball to the center of the field, or wherever Sean was, he was a true game changer. Now I wished we didn't sell our tickets to this game. It is going to be one emotional game. LETS GO SKINS.

I was completely shocked this morning when i heard he didnt make it. The NFL is going to miss a great player who had alot to offer. Both on and off the field. Sean Taylor was a family man, who learned from his early mistakes and was correcting his life. And on the field he was just nuts! He not only had great clean hits, but he could provide the coverage for his team when necessary.
Rest in Peace Sean Taylor.
And lets hope they find the killer and punish them to the upmost.

My best friend is a Washington Redskins fan, and we go to the bar every week and watch the 49er and Washington games together. It makes me feel extremely fortunate that I got the pleasure to watch Sean compete week in and week out, he was a true warrior on the field, and I loved everything about his game.
This upsets me and my friend is especially having a hard time with this. Just wanted to let his friends, family, teammates and everyone in Redskin nation that my thoughts and prayers are with you guys in such a sad time.
Thanks for the memories Sean, you were really a special player and you will be missed.
RIP

Living in Virginia, I have seen pretty much every Skins game in the past 3 years, and it was always a pleasure to watch Sean Taylor. His demeanor and attitude on the field inspired the players around him to always get in on the play and hit somebody. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. You will never be forgotten, Rest in peace Sean...

My condolences to his family and friends. Still hard to believe he's gone, it seemed to have happened so fast. It's ashame since he not only seemed to have been a good person off the field but a tremendous player on it.
RIP Sean, you will be missed.

Man, this is awful and the kinda thing that puts **** into perspective for everyone.
I can't say I was completely shocked to find out something like that happened to him, just because of his past, but I thought if there was a guy in the league who could have survived it, it was Sean Taylor. That's about as tough as they come, both physically and mentally.
He was one of my favorite defensive players, and an absolute privelege to watch. He played the game like it is meant to be played, and brought just a mean streak to any game.
Probably would have been on his way to a HOF career, and I would have said that before he passed, as well.
God Bless his family and that little girl...

All the way from New Zealand i say RIP Sean Taylor you were one heck of a football player (i will always remember that hit on the punter in the Pro Bowl) I have no doubt you would have been in the Hall of Fame
I will also appreciate your humility and shyness - its a rare trait in sporting superstardom
Condolences to all your friends and family you will be missed but not forgotten.

No offense, but that is just a stupid idea. If i was the Bills, i would be going deep on that play.

i was watching the beginning of the skins/bills game just to see the def. take the field w/ only 10 men and i will have to disagree on what the bills did. i thought it was tasteless and dirty. i know you play to win the game, but when a team is putting 10 men on the field to honor a friend and player, i would hope the offense would show class and not go to the side of the field where there was no safety help. i now they ran it, but the countered to that side of the field. IMO, i would have spiked it or taken a knee. there is a time to play football and then there is a time to honor a man. i found that very tasteless IMO.
