I didn't see one made, so any Fantasy Football related questions you might have for your draft can be put in this thread.

My question is I have the last pick in third/first in forth and want to take two wide recivers. The following wide recievers are still availabe that I would consider:

Santana Moss
Darrell Jackson
Hines Ward
Reggie Wayne
Roy Williams

Which two would you take?

BTW, Receptions don't count as points.

That's really a tough one..........

So I'll break it down how I look at it:

Santana Moss - Probably the best out of the bunch FF wise. Did really well last season and the improvements on offense will help him more then hinder him.

Darrell Jackson - Was injured last season so how well can he bounce back, if he comes back well enough I would put him above Moss because Seattle put's points on the board in bunches. Possible sleeper.

Hines Ward - Get's the catches and the yards but is not a scoring machine and being Pittsburgh tends to pound the ball inside the 20 receiving TD's are few an far between. Solid option as a #2/#3 WR.

Reggie Wayne - Was almost non-existant last season after a stellar season the year before. With the edge gone teams will be focusing on the passing game until Rhodes, or Addai can prove they can replace James. With these factors I personally wouldn't consider Wayne UNLESS he was still there towards the end of the draft.

Roy Williams - Being considered a sleeper in alot of the cheat sets and FF sites out there because of Mike Martz and he does have talent, BUT for me he has a new coach, a new OC, and an unsettled QB position. Who's starting McNown or Kitna. If one struggles are they going to play musical QB's? Plus if neither QB can get it done Kevin Jones becomes a non-factor beause teams will focus in on the running game. My tip: Stay away from anything hailing from Detroit, but that's the way Sleepers are BOOM or BUST

With those choices I would go with Moss & Ward. Jackson would be tempting but I would have to see what was left on the draft board in other talent and also see what your first couple picks were.

I would say Reggie Wayne. Manning likes to look his way in the redzone.

i'd go with Hines Ward and Reggie Wayne. Ward is the steelers #1 target, always has a solid season. With no Edge the colts are going to pass even more. I would'nt go with Moss since the skins have lots of weapons(Cooley, Lloyd, Randel El, Portis). I would'nt go with Williams beacuse i dont think Kitna is as good as the other QB's. Darrell Jackson is a joke IMO, i always avoid drafting him.

in order i would go:

1. Hines Ward
2. Reggie Wayne
3. Santana Moss
4. Roy Williams
5. Darrell Jackson

I'd probably take Roy Williams and Reggie Wayne.

The qb situation has been settled in Detroit, Kitna named the starter. Kitna put up some great numbers the last time he was starter in Cincy and we all know how much Martz likes to throw the ball around.

True, defenses may play more pass D against the Colts since Edge is gone. I also think that the Colts will themselves pass more because of that giving Wayne more opportunities.

Jackson seems to get dinged too often and Burleson will probably take away from some of his looks. Ward is a great player but the Steelers run alot. Moss is also great but has 2 more decent receivers in Randle El and Lloyd that will most likely take away some of his looks too. Plus, with Saunders as OC I think they'll try running Portis down opposing defenses throats.

That my 2 cents, thanks for reading. :)

man, you have to take D Jack, as long as he stays healthy, hes a solid 1000 yd plus and he gets his fair share of TDs. Are you in a big play league?? My league is a big play league, meaning if you break 100 yds you get bonus points, and if you break a 50yd'r + for a TD you get bonus points. If it is that way, you'd be a fool to not grab D Jack. Moss will have a lot more talent on the field with him thgis year. Hines Ward would probably be the 2nd guy I consider, although now hes the Steelers "only real threat", so he'll see a lot of 2 man coverage, and you cant go wrong with Wayne as he never gets hurt and will put respectable numbers. WIthout James being in Indy this year, Peyton has to be a strong candidate for MVP this preseason, and that could really help out Wayne. The only problem with having Wayne is that Peyton always seems to have his pony of the day. That means one game Marvin will put up 150 yds and 2 TDs, the Next game Wayne will. When one is getting those numbers, the other usually sees like 30 yds and 0 TDs. But I have owned each of these players at least once in the last 4 years, and D JAck never disappoints, even when hes hurt.

Thanks for the opinions guys. There seems to be some mixed reviews Between Ward, Wayne and Moss being the three favorites and R. Williams and Jackson getting a little love. I think I'm going to take Ward and either Moss or Wayne but can't decide between those two. R. Williams and Jackson have too many question marks with health issues and Williams has a new coach/QB and I don't think I want to deal with him having another disapointing season when I could have had a safer pick.

BTW, my league does not get rewarded for big plays Funky Monk.

yeah, taking Ward wont kill you. Hes anendzone magnet too. Stay away from Moss though. With Randel El, Lloyd and that NE WR that went there (givens?) his numbers could drastically drop. You almost cant go wrong with Ward, Wayne or Jackson. I have had Jackson on my squad for 3 years now, and he puts up much better numbers than you would believe. Last year was really the only time injueries killed him. Until the injury, he was getting over 20 points a game. If you dont go his way, get Ward.
