So what happen to Ahmed Plummer i dont think he is on the team anymore. Did he sign with any1?? Are we looking in to signing him?? Cuz i think he is a great player if he is not injured but who know. Thoughts?? :ninerh:
nobody has signed him. i dont even think anyone has looked at him yet. Nolan said in a radio interview, he would be open to letting plummer come to camp and compete for a spot on the team.

Sounds like a fair proposition to me. Let him earn his spot. If he can't beat out a walk-on or a rookie then he gets what he gets. Who knows, it may light a fire under him.

But he won't be able to make it to camp, he has an ingrown hair folicle on his arm:falldownlaugh:

In his first few years he was a great corner for us but our D-Line also didn't leave him out to dry then either.
If we could get a pass rush I think we would see alot less injuries in our secondary. When those guys are out there all day running up and down the field while the opposing QB has all day to throw it's not surprising we have some many injuries to the secondary.

I wouldn't mind having Plummer back, but at a lower price.

If he hustles he is a good player; We sign him to a reasonable one year contract then he has to play well, so next year as a FA he may get more bucks; he starts malingering again ......cut his butt.....he's lived off us enough. Nolan knows....

Yea I think as long as no team bites he'll be back at a lower basement price then what he was making from us........

My guess is that he isn't signed yet because he is either not completely healthy yet or teams have lowballed him and his agent adviced him to wait for better offers.
I expect someone will sign him soon after the draft. A team that thought they may address the cb position in the draft but didn't.

i dont want him on the team. he is a cencer that takes a roster spot up. he is unjury prone, cant hit, and really has problems in the secondary with any remotly good wr.

what are you crazy man, Plummer would be a great addition back to the team. How well can u think are secondary can be healthy. Plummer a great corner if he is 100%. Davis is an incumbent starter and Harris is getting older and older. :clapping:

Plummer was a really good corner for a few years and would love to see him work for a spot. Somebody will sign him before mini camp.

Nolan said in some article last week he would give Plummer a shot to make the team, I think it was on KNBR

I guess he could't find a team and wanted to play in Cincinnati, he's from that area, but I guess the Bengals were not interested.

I have waited to say anything for a reason. I did not want to sound like and echo. THIS IS 2006, FORGET THE PAST, I HAVE.
BTW, "MarkieMarko", A radio interview is not an "artical" unless it was transcribed onto paper form.
Yes i know that, I know the difference between a radio interview and a newspaper article, just forgot to edit it....what are you the message board correction editor or something? And its "waited to say something", "not waited to say anything" Sometimes KNBR transcribes their radio interviews onto their website KNBR.com into articles or links so you can listen or read the interview again.

Ahmed Plummer will probably sign with a team after June 1st on a 1 year contract. He really needs to prove that he can stay healthy and produce. Otherwise, he may play himself out of the league.
