I found it interesting that Steve Young was still being paid from his USFL contract up until 2005. He receives 1 million a year from an anuity.

I also read somewhere that Young hated being a backup to Joe Montana and one time Brent Jones found a drawer full of un-cashed checks that Young refused to deposit/cash.

I always wondered - then what the heck did he do for money? Now I know - b/c he was getting paid $1 million a year still...

Yeah - I know its old, I read it years ago....but like I said, I always wondered what the heck he did for money...now I know

He is so cool. He didn't buy a new car until he made that **** commercial. A whle NFL career without new car ****

At least he wasn't entirely bored. A law degree.

and fans still seethe at the memory of the hit by Arizona's Aeneas Williams that knocked Young out of the NFL for good in 1999.

Especially when you were young and watching it live.
