DT from texas, the dude is a stud and would fit nice in a 3-4,
im still dissapointed we didnt get lammar woodely who would have made a nice addition to our D-line,
We are gonna need a WR to, hill dosnt seem like he is the answer and although Djax is showing signs he cannot carry the team himself, i just dont know if we should get a DE since BY is probably going to be on his way soon, we will have to pretty close picks im sure, we need to beef up the D-line, and as much as some people hate Nolan as a coach they have to admit he is excellent when it comes to the draft no doubt, he will do fine regardless if he is on his way out or not

I really would like Frank Okam. I feel there's a good chance he could be available where we pick in the high 20's / low 30's. In the 2nd round I would also like to grab either D-Line or WR.
Ideally I'd like to pick up two defensive linemen on Day 1.

I hope either Pat Sims from Auburn or Fili Moala from USC declare. Both i think are more talented than Okam. A Dt in the first round would be a good idea. Okam is good, but I don't know if I am sold on him.

Okam showed this year why he wont be a highly sought after pick in the April draft.
Consistancy, effort, endurance, are all sorely lacking in him. I see his NFL career like I did Branch last year and M Tubbs when he came out, a project player who has all the intangibles but little ability to use them on the football field. If he can be taught, he'll be great, if he believes in his own hype he'll bust.

Balmer is just like Okam. Guy who has tons of talent but questionable work ethic. This year was the only year he decided to turn it on. Scouts are skeptical he only did it because of the draft. He has Ryan Sims written all over him. Ironic since they're both Tar Heels haha.

Glad to see you've given him such a long look.
Okam would not be a good pick in the first.

Id rather take his teammate Derek Lokey a little further back in the draft, Frank busted out his freshman year and never improved from there, quite the disappointment, to this Longhorn.

Lamarr Woodley would not play DL in a 3-4..... He's playing OLB for the Steelers.
i know that if we had him and manny at outside and wilis in the middle we would be stacked, he is way to small to play DE in a 3-4 i never said that

I've seen people say Okam is a 1st round surefire, and people say he's a 3rd-4th rounder.
I'M SO CONFLICTED :(

our new Dline coach is good with maximizing talent and working with underachievers which he is not......entirely

You got that way wrong Ace! They are a project player b/c THEY DONT have the intangibles. They have all the talent in the world, which doesn't show up on game film... due to a lack of intangibles.
Intangibles, in sports, refer to: the driver that results in a player's performance being better/worse than another's. Therefore, if a player ends up performing better than another player (given the same level of skill), than that player is said to have a greater set of intangibles.
For instance: Glenn Dorsey has more intangibles than does Frank Okam or Alan Branch
or
Arnaz Battle has more than does Brandon Lloyd

Thats your definition not mine, you just described the difference in talent not intangibles atlest to me (however it may have been the wrong word to use on my part). Plain and simple, the guy has all the talent in the world, physical aspects are fine as well as the mental ones (from what i've read) what he lacks is the ability to take all of that package and consistantly display it from play to play, it think we can all agree on that much.
Either way he does not sniff the first round imo.
