Has anybody seen or heard any reports that Marvin Harrison may hang up the cleats after this season? This is only the second time in Marvin's career that he has missed more than one game. In 1998 he missed 4 games. Since 1999 he hasn't had a season where he had less than 1,100 receiving yards and 10 TDs. He's been struggling all year with an injury and who knows if he will be back for the playoffs. Also if Marvin retires what affect will that have on the Colts cap number?

WOW, calm down he's injured not dead. Retire? Why? He damaged his knee in the first quarter of the season, many young bucks do the same thing and take the year off, its no different.

Well apparently, this injury may be career threating and might cause Harrison to have major problems later on in his life. That's what the reports "said". So take it with a grain of salt.

I don't know about retire but after he missed his third straight game, I knew the injury was more serious than what was reported. Something still isn't right and I am shocked he is not on the IR yet.

It's possible, he's 35 and certainly isn't getting any younger.

He's probably coming back during the colts playoff run. It was probably smart of the colts to just let marvin take the whole season to heal and perhaps have him healthy (hopefully) for a playoff run.

I think he'll play another year or two, then retire.

thanks for the input. I heard this injury could result in knee pain that persists throughout his athletic career, but I hope he doesn't retire and plays a year or two more with the Colts. He has been one of the best recievers for years and I don't want to see his career end just yet.
