The Super Bowl XLIII game logo was created to reflect the natural elements of Tampa Bay, including the blue and green hues of the regional waterways and landscapes. The design showcases an abstract representation of a stadium and field. The stars on either side of the logo symbolize the AFC and NFC Conferences, a tradition that began with the Super Bowl XL logo. This represents the first time this color green has been used in an official game logo.
If the person who designed that got paid, he/she should be arrested for robbery because this logo really sucks.

It's not that bad. My point of concern is that at first glance, it looks too much like a Pats logo...

Considering that they probably hired a firm for a couple hundred Thousand to come up with it, I'd say it's rather weak. In fact, a middle-school class could have come up with something better in an hour.
I don't buy that they used the natural "hues" of the waterways and landscape, nor do I buy that the design resembles a stadium and field. Sure there are line markings and the bottom is green, but overall it shows how little it takes to impress us these days.
Abstract?? come on now, this is just a lazy attempt to impress us with word association.

I agree. It really should be in a red and gold bordered oval IMO :sflogo:

i think that super bowl logo's should be more based on the venue & stuff. the XXLII should of had a more deserty accent to it as apposed to the Tampa & Miami ones that should be more tropic.

It looks like something straight out of the 80's or early 90's. You'd think with all the graphics equipment available they could come up with something a little better than what my 5 year old niece could draw.

Where's the "who gives a crap?" option? I'm tired of the roman numerals too, while we're at it. Except for Super Bowl LIX. That one will be cool.
Doesn't look that bad. The last one I liked was the Super Bowl XXIX one.
