With the way the Pats O-Line got abused in the Super Bowl do you think if they would have kept their pick they could have used Staley?

I know he did not fare much better when we played the Giants but he still may be better then what the Pats have. If they would not have drafted Staley would the player they would've picked have helped win?

The superbowl was their first loss and they lost in the final seconds. They had another first round choice in '07 before the pick they traded, and that guy didnt even start for them. So no, I don't think they lost the superbowl because we got staley.

Plus you seem to forget that it was the 4th WE sent them that they used to acquire Randy Moss. So if they drafted someone, thats 23 touchdowns they'd need replaced.

Yeah but I'd like to think it was the reason they lost. As for the 4th they used they could have easily used their 4th rounder instead. Even if the Pats 49ers deal fell through I bet they still trade for Moss.

Not really.

Kazur this past season > Staley this past season

And Matt Light has been by far the best left tackle in football for the past three seasons.

Yeah but I'd like to think it was the reason they lost.

And I'd like to think the reason Scarlett Johanssen hasn't settled down yet is because she's saving herself for me.

That analogy is lame as Staley could have been in the game and made one of those blocks. One missed block could've led to a sack instead of a TD.

Where as Scarlett Johanssen is unaware of your existance or love for her. Unless you have been writing her, stalking her, or some way or another making a play for her.:tung:

They are probably going to have to draft a CB once Samuel leaves...:money:

Or Staley could have not started. Or the Patriots could have drafted a CB. Or Staley could have missed a block in the AFC championship and prevented the Pats from even getting there. Or the Pats could have drafted someone who was so eager to make an impression that he sacked Brady low in a september practice, ruined his knee and doomed the season.

I'd like to think she just instinctively knows Im out there.

Also I don't love her. Its just if she's saving herself for me I can probably get in there before she figures out I'm not in it for the long term.

Flawless plan really.

So you're saying there is a chance Staley cost them the super bowl right?

Im saying that no matter what you'd like to believe, it is not reasonable to assume that any player chosen with that selection would have made the difference in the game, or even seen meaningful time.

Staley would be warming the bench in New England, all year long. Yes, one of the Pats linemen went out in the Super Bowl, but I believe it was their guard and even with a single replacement, NE's line has no excuse for getting owned that bad. The Giants made them look like a college line.
