Throughout the game, there were many penalties that were ignored by officials that should have been taken into consideration, for example, when Eli Manning threw the ball to Amani Toomer and while up in the air, grabbed the face mask of a New England Patriot's player and then caught the ball and was not penalized for grabbing the face mask which is illegal. Another issue that was not addressed by officials was when Eli Manning fumbled the ball on a handoff and the ball was then in the possession of a New England Patriots player as shown on the replay which was shown several times but then the ball was given back to the Giants because one of their players turned that Patriot's player over and snatched the ball.
