What round do you think he should be drafted? And should we draft him, or try and get another QB (i.e Josh Johnson).
IMO Aigne seems to fit into the "Martz System". My only concern about drafting players to fit into Martz's System is...Will Martz be like Turner and leap at a Head Coaching Job, or an OC job with a better Team Next year?

If we could get Ainge in the 4th or 5th we should at least consider it.

He looked pretty good against Georgia this year. Good reason to not like him if you are from Athens. :tung:

I like Chade Henne way better than Ainge.
Here is a interview with AInge's former TE Brad Cottam.
He talks about the 49ers coaching staff lol

Henne is impressive and could very likely be the first or second QB taken in the draft. He has a great arm.
One thing Ainge has got going for him is that he was coached by the same guy who coached Peyton and Eli Manning, David Cutcliff. He'll go some where and fit right in quickly.

I'd rather have Booty then Ainge.

How about Brohm, he's projected to go higher than Ainge.

I seriouslly doubt Henne will go in the first round. They talk about Ryan and Brohm only. Anyone who saw Henne play against FLorida in the bowl game would be impressed with him. He is a true competitior and a leader. He has the intangibles.
They say Ainge has a weak delivery and not mobile. I think AInge will be a backup in the NFL.

Yep, best game performance I saw Ainge make and I saw quite a few games, not them all, but a majority.
I don't really care all that much about where a player comes from if I think they will help the team the most, two of my most wanted players last year where Reggie Nelson (note avatar) and Robert Meachum.

Who ever we take it should be in the 4th round. There are a lot of QB's who should fall into the fourth round with outstanding value. Yes several of these guys will go in the 3rd, but there are too many QB's for there not to be one on the board during our pick including
Joe Flacco Possible 2nd-3rd rounder
Josh Johnson Possible 3rd rounder
John David Booty Possible 3rd to 4th rounder
Erik Ainge Possible 4th rounder
We seen last years top five pick drop to 20 something. One if not several of these guys should be available in the fourth.

i hope that either colt brennan or erik ainge is available in the 5th round... either would be a good addition to the team and worth a fith rd pick...

Yes, because they could catch the ball in the fourth quarter.I'm just messing with you. I hope that Ainge is there in the later rounds for the Niners. He is a good player, he is tall, but his mechanics are sometimes bad, and he sometimes makes the wrong throw (note the LSU game).

 Hey JL, haven't seen you around in a while, although maybe I've just not been in the right places.
So whats your opinion on Fulmer? You of the he needs to go now crowd, or he's won a NC so he can stay as long as he likes crowd?
You really should change to an UGA fan so you don't have to cheer for all those drunken maniacs crashing into cars and running away, or having upperclassman taking potential recruits out to toke up. 'Cuz you know UGA only recruits boyscouts  (and still has better classes :tung:).

I thought that last year that Fulmer needs to go. But with Clawson comming in and brething new life into the program. I give Fulmer two more years and if he has another 5-6 season he is gone. As for being a UGA fan, I don't think that is going to happen. Because I'm trying to get into Tennessee in Fall of 08.
