No way. This guy is horrible. At least he was horrible when he was with us. Whenever I hear or read his name I always remember the play against the Chargers when he got burned by Antonio Gates for like a 40 to 60 yard TD.
That alone makes me dislike him as a player.

With a Name like TJ Slaughter you would think he would be a great LB.

The Patriots stand to lose Larry Izzo, a guy who is a standout special teamer. They also have Vrabel and Bruschi as free agents and yet to retain them. The way I see it, Slaughter is a cheap way to ensure getting a ST ILB as opposed to what Izzo may ask for and Slaughter also isn't the worst 3rd ILB/run stopping ILB type of depth player they could find. Slaughter is probably happy to play for the minimum for a playoff team.

It wasn't Slaughter's fault that he was matched up on Gates, though. It's obvious that he doesn't have the ability to cover Gates; it was just a play-calling error that left him exposed.

I remember I was playing madden and I saw how weird our team players names were. Battle, Gore, Slaughter...
