Obviously, the niners need a WR in either the draft or Free Agency. I tired of converted WR's all over the place. Arnez battle at best is an average slot man. I don't know why they opted to have a project WR in Delanie Walker, that's dumb. He should be only a back up tight end. So the question is should we draft a WR or pick up a WR. What do you think about Benard berrian or Shaun McDonald. I like Berrian better, but McDonald does know martz system and would automatically upgrade our system by knowledge alone. LET ME KNOW

1.) I'm sure he would be more than average as a slot guy considering he did pretty well for a #2.

2.) He was drafted as a TE the same year as Vernon Davis. I'm pretty sure the plan from the beginning was to use him as a back-up TE.

Berrian.

Why is this in Draft Prospects?

Because he says it is and none of us have as much football knowledge as him.

McDonald has proven success in Martz's offense. He would be the best fit. He can come right in a contribute immediately and help out the other receivers learn the new offense.

I think we should exhaust every option in trying to land FA WR Bernard Berrian. First and main priority. What is troubling recently is the fact that the Bears just freed up cap by cutting WR Mushin Muhamed, possibly pointing to them making a strong effort to bring him back. Roy Williams is another #1 option to consider if the Berrian option falls through.

Not sure if McDonald is available, I wonder how much it will cost to sign him? It would probably be too much, than is worth paying to sign him. If we can do it at a reasonable salary I would be for it, if not I would be for us looking in the middle rounds of the draft for a player similar. Mike Martz drafted him, and I'm sure he is just as capable of finding a similar talent to fit his offense. I have read a few draft people comparing Eddie Royal, and Harry Douglas to McDonald. Would be a far cheaper option, if that could play out for us.

I say we sign one receiver either Mcdonald, Berrian or Bryant, one of those 3 and then we take our first round pick and draft OL and then our 2nd or 3rd round pick and draft a WR one that can burn CB's and has the agility to make cuts and run precise routes
