My favorite embarrassing moment in sports was when Steelers #1 pick Plaxico Burress makes a wonderful first down catch, then after thinking he was down (he wasn't touched), prematurely spikes the football in celebration (fumble!) and the opposing team picked it up and ran it back for a touchdown! How embarrassing!! I'll NEVER forget that game! Hilarious! LOL!!! :falldownlaugh:

Actually, SI did a different list of the most embarrasing moments. This list is a collection of other incidents that readers voted on that weren't mentioned in the original article.

Booing Santa Claus is pretty bad, but not as bad as this. (http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=6335)

If you're going to put that on there at least be real........:shots:

#5- wasn't alive for but would like to know what was so rigged that U.S players haven't picked up their silver medals yet
Wasn't alive either, but I saw a whole special on it a few years ago. The game came down to a last second shot, and the Russians were inbounding. Anyways the Russians threw the ball across the court, got the basket, game over. But many people questioned the officiating throughout the game and at the end of the game when many (Americans) felt the refs blatantly allowed the Russians to score.

Gotta give those guys credit though, NOBODY has picked up their silver medal and one of the guys even put in his will that his descendants are to never accept it.
