Anyone interested in signing this guy?

I personally am surprised that the Pats released him and would love to have him on our team. He's a 3-4 OLB pass rushing specialist. Just what we need. I'll take Colvin over Briggs or Smith any day of the week in our defense. He wouldn't be as expensive and he would be the best fit.

I would love to cut TBC and sign Colvin. Colvin is ACTUALLY a pass-rusher, he doesn't just pretend like TBC.

Colvin is the real deal, top 5 in sacks among active LBs.

I thought the same thing when I saw he was released. He has extensive 3-4 experience and he is a definite upgrade from 10 second spin move.

I say sign Colvin, still sign Briggs and not sign Justin Smith. Colvin will come cheaper than Smith and has already proven to be a big time pass rusher in the 3 4. Drafting Avril will be a good idea too.

Oh, and like mentioned earlier, let's cut Tully. The $ he would have made can be reinvested in Colvin. Let's not forget about our offense though.

this is one FA that I actually like in our current scheme

This would make sense, either him or Pace (or draft Marcus Howard).

bring him in NOW, we could have him split time with Banta Cain (who would come in on passing situations) and we would be good on the weak side for a while until we find their full time replacement. I twould then allow us to fill other needs in FA and the draft.
