Atlanta Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall says he will finalize a contract with Oakland by Thursday morning, allowing the trade sending him to the Raiders to be completed.
A source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that the deal is for seven years and worth $70 million. The amount of guaranteed money and bonuses in the contract have not been finalized.

maybe they will be like the Celtics.
1. Suck
2. stack team in free agency
3. great season.
Or maybe they will be like the Raiders.
1. Suck
2. Al Davis sucks
3. Still sucks
Although, I do feel like they may at least go 6-10. I hope they do. Too long for any fan to endure that much crappiness. Or player for that matter. I wonder how they'll lower their cap.

They have Huff, Wilson, Asomaugh and Hall making a ton, meanwhile outside of Burgess whos rarely healthy they have no pass rush. Way to think things through Al.

Man, when I saw this, I even said to myself, out loud "OH MY GOD." It just blows my mind. What if all this craziness actually worked. Raiders go to the superbowl against future HOFer Aaron Rodgers and his Packers. :D

Or the Washington Redskins. Given an example like this, I could just as easily say "or the 49ers."

Well...we can't judge yet.
We all know Clements got a reported 8 year 80 million contract even though alot of it was fluff.
Maybe there is some fluff in there....but I doubt it.

Was anyone expecting any less? Everyone knew he's command top 3 CB money. The Raiders just happen to be stupid enough to pay it.

Al Davis has finally lost it,he must be really desperate for another championship talk about over spending in a single offseason

The guy is really getting old. In my opinion, he knows these are his final years. I know it's a bit of an over-dramatization, but at (nearly) 80 years old, he's going out guns blazing.
No sense worrying about salary cap hell down the line if you more than likely won't be around. Right?

The Raiders constantly have fans from other teams mocking their cap situation but, they always seem to have no problem getting under it. This latest round of contracts may cause them grief in the future. I f these guys turn out to be the raiders' versions of g.wilkins, a. langham, that fat useless linemen we got from denver.....then they are screwed.

What is funny is the defense was not the Raider's biggest problem.

Except when have the 49ers had a good season lately after spending in FA?
How good was the NFC West and what was our record? How good was the NFC East and what was Washington's record?
Also, it's funny how people here complained about others not actually looking into Nate's contract structure before knocking us for this contract. Now that Hall signed for a seemingly ridiculous amount, people here make fun of the Raiders his contract. The numbers don't exactly jump out and say that Nate was a good deal for us.

In that same link. It says "Nate Clements received 7 years 64 million (not the reported 8 years 80 million)."
At least some people are starting to realize it.
