Kendall langford DE Hampton
Don't hear alot of talk about him. A prototypical 3-4 DE could be the next Richard Seymour, has a ton of upside, 3 year starter, mean streak 6-6 275 could still add weight, strength, good speed.
What I am really curious about is his draft stock, I have seen him in mock drafts going anywhere from 26-152, any ideas of when we could or should grab him. I would have to believe maybe move up to the end of the second or with our third round pick. I don't think he could fall to the 4th.
Thoughts?

I like him on paper, But you know the story with division 2 players. You can expect him to red shirt his entire rookie season and possibly more.

He was downright embarassing Geoff Schwartz in the Shrine game.

I'm with you on that, I like him too, Bryant could be a great NT, in my opinion, if we got both in the 3rd and 4th and a Jeff Otah, and Early Doceat in the 1st and 2nd we would be an freaking great.

and throw in a OLB(Q.Groves) and we are talking i really like bryant 2. But did you see how Langford saved the Senoir Bowl with his 4th down stuff. Both he and Reed opened my eyez up with that game. and they both played for nolan. plus hampton is like 45minz away so i know this kid can play

I like DE Kangford. He seems to play alot bigger then the 275 lbs. he's
listed at, and consistently disrupts the running game for a loss (just like Douglas). I think Langford in rounds 3-4 would be ideal. Due to the raised level of talent he will need to be used in a rotation the first year.
Jason Shirley is a late round guy that seems to have talent, but needs to be placed in the right type of situation(like ours), to fulfil his vast potential. He is an interesting DE/DT to fit into the DE/DT rotations for us.

Exactly right, and with our depth right now at the position, he could ideally rotate and than eventually become the full time starter in a year or two once the others have been weeded out.

yea i dont understand why more people aren't talking about this guy. i guess thats a good thing. If we could steal this guy in the late rounds we could have a pro bowl steal. he plays with A NASTY MEAN STREAK. Our DLine is lacking a guy like that.

Hampton had a bunch of guys at last years combine, yet only one (I think) got drafted.
Same old story, Division 2 guy, a little undersized.
Really a project pick, late rounds...

Yo, you are such a hater. First of all, get your info correct. Hampton is not a Div 2 school. It is Div. 1AA. The one who did get drafted was Justin Durrant in the second round who will be a starter. I guess the only way a guy could be a good NFL player is if he came from USC or Ohio State or Florida right? I guess you forget that a couple of key pieces to the old niners came from Div. 1 AA including one from the same conference> John Taylor from Delaware St of the MEAC and the GOAT Jerry Rice from Miss Valley ST.

i like Sopo but if he was to play behind him it would only be for TC because this guy has Star form a small school all over him. We need a DE that is Physically Dominating and he is in every since of the word and he's got speed.
