I found this while I was reading the (outdated by now) Pro Football Weekly 2008 Draft guide, and under the risers and fallers they had D.J. Hall and his stock dropping, but the interesting part is
"49ers head coach Mike Nolan told PFW to watch out for this kid."
............ We all know how Nolan is with players that he coaches in the Senior Bowl

Not sure exactly why his stock is dropping.. but if anyone saw him play in college, he seemed to be running by a lot of the top notch corners in the SEC who run 4.3 and 4.4 40 yard dashes...
He was the leading receiver in the conference with a mediocre qb, and made plays every game with defenses keying on him for 60 minutes.. He'll be an impact player at the next level.. You can quote me on that..

I never really understood why he was such an afterthought in the draft talk.

I like this guy as a mid round steal. He's not super fast or strong, but he runs good routes and catches the ball. A shorter but quicker version of him would be Dorien Bryant. He could be a good slotman as well.
