Team Pick Analysis http://www.nfl.com/static/content/catch_all/nfl_image/49ers_logo.jpg
29. San Francisco 49ers (http://www.nfl.com/teams/profile?team=SF) (From Indianapolis) http://static.nfl.com/static/content/catch_all/nfl_image/k_rivers_headshot.jpg
Keith Rivers (http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/keith-rivers?id=302)
LB, USC Rivers was coached for four years by former 49er Ken Norton Jr. He can play inside or outside linebacker in the 49ers scheme. Rivers would make an excellent weak-side linebacker next to Patrick Willis (http://www.nfl.com/players/patrickwillis/profile?id=WIL618736). The two of them would be in on nearly every tackle.

After seeing that horrendous mock, I can't help but agree. The dude looks lost when it comes to formulating mock drafts

Although if we actually were interested in Briggs I could see nolan drafting rivers if he was still the GM.

Mmmmmm, no. We have bigger concerns in the first round, like the OL and DL.

OL is pretty deep in this draft so I am not too worried there. There may not be a DL worth taking in the 1st round and we pick again in 10 more spots.
I would not be upset at all if we were to pick up Keith Rivers. I just think there is no way he is still on the board at 29.

Falcon fans complaints have been heard. Media opinion has shifted from us being a lock for Ryan and now its Dorsey.

If he lasted that long I have to think we would be prime canidates to move the hell back and let some other team take him. I have to believe the LB needy teams would jump all over him, assuming our scouts felt the way i do about him.
Of course for our second pick, i'd be OK but still think there are better options.

From the talk on the radio here in town, the new coach and gm/player personnel guy Dimitroff that came over from the Patriots believe in building upfront with a strong oline and dline...I would not be surprised at all if they passed on the qb and traded back a few spots or took Dorsey.
