I imagine you got grilled pretty good about the off-the-field stuff. Do you think you satisfied their questions?
They’re weren’t any off-the-field issues. I’ve never been arrested, never been caught with drugs, never had none of that stuff. When the scouts ask me that stuff, I told them, me and my wife got into an argument. I never put a hand on her. I’d never hit a woman … What else? I had a wreck when I was in Atlanta. That was one thing. The last thing was I got caught with a bb gun when I was 10 years old.
So you are up front with all that stuff?
I never try to hide stuff. Just tell the truth, that’s my motto. Tell the truth and it won’t be a problem.
This should answer some implications some posters have made.

Sounds like a nice guy.

How freaked out were you when you found out about your heart issue?

Not so bad. I mean, I’m a guy that lives for today. I mean, I have a lot to live for but if I die it’s no big deal.

Thought that part was kinda funny...

I was going to post this 15 mins ago, but I was too tired to bother, i figured someone would put it up. Anyways...

I LIKE THE PART WHERE he is asked if it weren't for the injuries how many sacks would you have gotten....

Answer: More than 3

:coffeespit:

I also like how he doesn't care if he died. That is just good. :falldownlaugh:

:falldownlaugh:

I forgot about that one!

I was crackin up, yeah "caught", than again I highly doubt that almost any of these players have ever not done drugs at least once in their lives.

Hitting that MJ... :pards:

Speaking of Groves, some loser on NFL.com thinks that Groves will be the guy the 49ers end up taking at pick No. 29. If you can tolerate a disturbing reliance on the conversation filler "um" then click here.

So, this guy thinks he's a second rounder?

No, he is referring to his own interview.

So basically the Steelers are the only threat to take Groves before us in the first.

He likes the Steelers and Niners basically, and we are the teams most likely to take him in the first. Other than that he will fall like a shot down plane to us again in round 2, but than we would worry about the Jets and Rams, and Dolphins going after him. Even though the Rams could get Gholston and Jets could get C. Long (or vice versa)

Bill Parcells said he doesn't want to deal with anyone who has had any problems off the field before, so Groves could be out of the picture there, and they could go QB, since John Beck is their only man now.

So there is a good chance that Groves could even fall to us at number 39 in round 2.

:phone: "Steelers do not pick Groves, you have many o-line issues, get Albert or Cherilius, besides you already have James Harrison who f'in tore it up against the Ravens, thank you"

Only thing that worries me is that ROLB Harrison got in trouble with the police, even though the Charges were dropped, still could be reason why the Steelers are even looking at Groves at all.

I would love Groves in the second!!!

Get someone else in the first and save a pick maybe a WR or RT there, hell even Curtis Lofton would be nice, even if that is a waste for a TED.

He is not the only one if he is, but actually this guy thinks he is our best option at #29 and he was even the guy who brought up the whole Demarcus Ware comparison.

Many see him as a early to mid 2nd round pick.
I wish we could get a WR though, I just want a weapon Jackson or Hardly as 5x calls him(Hardy)

If Desean is available i doubt we pass him up, he came and watched the local pro day and talked with a lot of coaches and players. There is even a picture of him with Gore, and Gore is smiling, and he has a serious face as he takes on all the info he can from a pro bowl player what the NFL is like.

ima big Jackson fan too but i think we go Groves before we go Jackson

At best Groves becomes DeMarcus Ware

At best Jackson becomes Steve Smith

I would rather have Demarcus Ware...Pass Rush wins championships

Also Nolan needs to win now and its much easier for a pass rushing ROLB to have an immediate impact than a receiver/returner

....

See how easy a wrong implication can slip in.

You just read the item... and then read my post...and now infer that:
"Bill Parcells said he doesn't want to deal with anyone who has had any problems off the field before, so Groves could be out of the picture there,."

:tomato:
Groves said, "They’re weren’t any off-the-field issues."
Auto accident + Argument with wife + BB gun at age 10 = 0, zero, nada, nothing

Yeah you are right he just got in a little "argument" with his wife. Oh and he got in an accident with no insurance. Well....
It's not on the field and it's bad, i think it's called an off the field issue.

In his opinion they aren't really issues because they are done with, but teams do see that. Some think he is immature, I like him and think he would be a great leader.

:bat: Try to make me look like an *****.

The 2006 off-season was one that Groves would just as soon forget. He was placed on probation after he was in a car accident with no auto insurance and a suspended license. He was also arrested after police responded to a domestic dispute call.

Do you know more than that??

Where did the "with no insurance" come from? :link:

Per local domestic dispute laws, Groves was arrested in 2006 after an argument with his wife, but the charges eventually were dropped. He also was placed on probation when, after being involved in a car accident, he was charged with driving on a suspended license and without insurance.

:flex: You doubt my knowledge!!???

You doubt my knowledge!!??? Yes. Yours and all the posters unless they are supported in fact or with links (thank you for this one) that I can evaluate.

This in no way was an attack on you. It was a defense against incorrect inferences in a player's character.
