Ask any one what our needs are going into the draft atuomatic answer would be OL,DL,WR,LB. obviusly OL and DL are prioities while i think WR beats out LB since we Haven't had decent WR Play Since TO.
So for our six picks next weekend, It probably won't happen but ID love to see us use 2 pick on each of our needs at OL,DL, and WR. I would be very disappointed if we come out of the first day and haven't pick one of each position. we need help and we can't depend on 2nd day picks to contribute right away unless we found a steal.
All 3 areas im seeing as a "must" fix now, type of situation.

OL: Yeah our starting line looks good, but our depth is low and who knows whats gonna happen with Jenning, Hietmman is a FA next year if we don't resign him, and who knows if Baas will panout. I have a hard time believing that the 9ers won't take 2 OLmen next week. 1 G and 1 T, to add depth and look to in the future. With how deep the OL is in the draft we could still find quality backup with one of our 2nd picks.

DL: we sign Smith, and i hope he works out in the 3-4, but we still need depth and possibly someone to be a major contributour right away. SOPP had a good year last year and hope he improves but it took him awhile to get to where he is and is still a questionmark for me. I know people are saying we need a pass rusher and we might go that way with a LB so if we take a LB then I'd only take 1 DL and still have 2OL,and 2WR. This is where Groves comes in. If we take him with our First, then Id prefer to take the best DL avialable in the 4th. we draft i think 3 DL last year with one being converted to LB. Plus if we still think we need help or depth at DL or LB we can look to see what available after June 1st cuts.

WR: Even though we signed Johnson and Bruce, we have nothing but ?'s at WR. will either of them prove to be a good pickup with bruces age, and johnsons lack of production. will Lelie or Hill or both panout with Martz new system or just fade away like last year. Battle is our only proven WR and hes a #3 guy at best. so I think we need to take a chance with taking 2 WRs and hope one of them is the #1 guy we've been looking for for so long. thers alot of options of where to take a WR but i think the best bet would be to take them in rounds 2 and 4 depending on the rest of our draft. We can take whoever slips out of Rd1, cause there are alot of value guys in the late 1st early 2nd picks. Same thing in the 4th we can take who we think is the best still available. Hopefully this is the year we get a decent WR out of the draft(Hill, is still a option) and have decent WR play during the season.

RD1 Best bet, either Groves or theOLmen from boston college
RD2 Best available WR
RD3 if groves in rd1 then OL here, or visa versa with DL
RD4 if Groves in rd1 then best DL here. IF not best WR
RD6 OL/DL
RD7 DL/OL

we need depth and help in these three area, might as well stick to drafting in these three area with groves as exception, anywhere else we're good at and if we feel we need to add to those other areas, look to the june 1st cuts
and yes i know Groves is considered a DE but we all know if we pick him up he'll play LB so im considering him as LB

I'm not pushing for a corner. I like Morgan in the 3rd, because Roman blows!!
