Just wondering if the continued increase in gas/diesel prices is going to change things for people going to the games this year.

Will you carpool?

Use public transportation?

Use a smaller/higher mileage vehicle?

Go to less games?

Get lesser expensive seats to off-set the fuel prices?

What if any changes are you making?

Nope, the stadium is 2 miles away right now, I live near AT&T park. When/if they move to SC that may be a different story since my options are really a car only. I am sure there will be busses or I can take Caltrains to San Jose to the light rail...2hrs later :shoot:

Carpool, smaller vehicle, less expensive seats are probably the best bets.

already have a good gas mileage car. Not sure of anybody who lives in Sacramento who has season tickets willing to carpool.

Keep an eye on the non-STH's too....they may be looking to carpool. Val is in the Roseville area, SacSoldier, JDinSactown.

I'm just south of you in Lockeford, but I usually go I-5 to 205 and then over the San Mateo bridge and up 101.

Still taking the 6 hour drive to St. Louis this year around Christmas time, so I can only imagine the gas prices will go up during the Holiday season.

I live near Grass Valley. I rarely drive from home on the day of the game though. I have friends in the city that I stay with and I show up 2+ hours before kickoff so I can get a good parking spot on the street, eat some food, and watch the players warm up. I never park in the lot.

I am making no changes to my routine. AFAIC, if people can afford to splurge on things like ST's, then they have no business whining about gas prices.

My wife and I drive from Elk Grove. My Brother drives from Sac so I'd assume we will probably be carpoolin more this year.

Good looking out Proud! Yeah, I'm definitely down to carpool to games, especially if I decide to get season tix.

I've been taking the charter bus from Concord that is organized by our booster club. Every year I ask them if they can start one from San Ramon / Dublin area, and every year they say not enough people
It's nice to not have to drive but it does take a *lot* of time to get there and back. Can't beat the price though - $15 per reserved seat (or thereabouts)

The only reason I don't do that, is because I like hanging out with people and tailgating, and just walking around on gameday. There is one in Elk Grove, that I would jump on in a heartbeat otherwise.

PM your info if you do. It would be fun to find a regular group to hangout with before and after.

Im 400 miles away in Los Angeles I have an RV that has 75 gallon tank. Im a season ticket holder and i only plan on taking the RV just once. No one can pitch in for gas because Im taking my boys and they are both 13 years old.So that's 600 dollars round trip. I'll just take our pick up truck to other games and try to sell the rest. Here In Los Angeles Im paying 4.10 a gallon for 87 octane. Are you guys paying same or more?

I paid $4.20 for 91 octane this morning. I live near Sacramento. The Bay Area is probably a few cents more. I'm guessing that gas prices in the LA metro area and the SF Bay Area are pretty close on average.
