My collection is tiny. I have a gore jersey, and a signed alex smith mini helmet.

My dad's collection is amazing. He has a helmet with almost all the niner's signatures from the '88 team. He has a football that is signed by both Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. And he has an autographed Steve Young jersey. His collection is worth over 2000 bucks. He keeps it under lock and key in a room with a seperate alarm. The only way he lets ppl c them is if they can pass a niners trivia test. Its hilarious when people fail :laugh:

EBAY of course, I only purchase from people that have been selling for quite some time with well known COA.

2 - Lithograph of Joe's last Superbowl victory with his handprints and Jerry's footprints, signed by both (#5 of 50)
3 - Jacket signed by members of the '81, '84, '88, '89 Superbowl teams
4 - Montana jersey from his rookie season (My grandfather was a big Notre Dame fan and bought his Jersey for my father and had it signed by Montana during his rookie season. He wanted my dad to have it so bad, that he shipped it to Germany so he could wear it proudly. Of course, he had no idea who this Montana guy was because we were at the mercy of the Armed Forces TV)

Interesting thread!, I would say my 2007 team signed helmet is the most unique item,but being a Montana fan since I was old enough to know what football was, I'd say my Montana signed helmet is my favorite.Plus it's got his personal hologram and a Psa/Dna sticker for authenticity,and it's not the "opinion" cert either it's the "signed in the presence of a representative" cert. which I think is far better.But closely behind is the football I got signed at the monday night game in seattle last year,when I met Steve Young,Trent Dilfer,Owner John York,and Donald Strickland,it was awesome.http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n248/joshua8255/?action=view&current=shelf.jpg I also have a Willis mini helmet and a Gore mini that have the same cert. I don't have much stuff. I got an autographed Alex Smith throwback Jersey I won in some contest. Bryant Young autograph photo and just recently a good friend of mine hooked me up with a dvd's of the Entire broadcast of the 49er Superbowl's, NFC Championship games in those years and some of the Divisional games from those superbowl years. Its bad azz just seeing the old school players, commercials, etc...

Yeah, that is quite the cubicle, all I have at work is a calendar and one of those plastic license plates hanging on the walls and a couple photos of my seats at the games I attended.

I appreciate it, once I am able to get a house, everything will be pulled from my closet and framed and will have it all set up nicely instead of strung out all over the place, most of which is boxed up.

Im not a member, but I'll take a look to check it out.

Dude, you better hope no one ever breaks into your house. You're also pretty lucky your house didn't get flooded..

That would make me sick having to throw all that 9ers stuff away.

Yeah, I hear that, they would have themselves a hay day if they ever did, thats for sure.

We are out in the country and in one of the highest points in the city so it would have to be fifty times worse than it was to get hit by it.

The house that I was looking at last month to purchase was actually in one of those areas all the way up to the second floor, so fortunately I lucked out and didnt spring for the house otherwise it would all gone.

You must have a lot of money invested in your memorbilia.

I don't have much. Just some footballs, a big clock with pics of Joe, Jerry & some other guys, ton of hats, few auto'd cards, and a auto'd Steve Young framed picture of him after winning the SB.

And a Willis, Gore, and Barlow (yuck) jersey.

I have more money in the collection that I like to think about, lol.

No worries, hell, I have some Alex Smith memorabilia that you saw, he isnt great by any means. lol. He is a Niner though and Im supporting that. I also have an autographed Barlow jersey and normal jersey.

Back in April our sump pump quit and we got 5 inches of water in our basement (which is nothing compared to what some of the flood victims got..) but as I noticed the water I got a lot of my 9ers and Cubs stuff off the ground. I have my cards in boxes under my bed which isn't the greatest spot but I saved those just in time.

Yeah, we lost power out here for quite some time as it was pouring, dad and I were sticking buckets down into the sump pump and running them back upstairs and tossing the water out so that it wouldn't overflow.

Wow Iowa49erFan... that is a very impressive collection! At only 24 did you win the lottery or something? I also noticed your extensive movie collection in one of the above photos... what do you do to afford all that?

Another poster mentioned a museum... undoubtedly, people would pay just to see your collection. After you get it all set up, you should send a video in to ESPN (if that's of any interest to you anyway). I've seen segments before on collections and once you have all yours on display, it would definately make the cut.

Wow Iowa49erFan... that is a very impressive collection! At only 24 did you win the lottery or something? I also noticed your extensive movie collection in one of the above photos... what do you do to afford all that?

Another poster mentioned a museum... undoubtedly, people would pay just to see your collection. After you get it all set up, you should send a video in to ESPN (if that's of any interest to you anyway). I've seen segments before on collections and once you have all yours on display, it would definately make the cut.

My collection doesn't consist of many signed things. I have a lot of random stuff like footballs, posters, clocks, etc.

I only have like 5 signed things. I live in Iowa too so I feel your pain not being able to go to events and games. I wouldn't want to know the cost to fly (or drive) to California for a game.

I went last year for the first time and went to two games, it wasnt all too bad. I think I spent 1600 for round trip flight, car, and hotel for 10 nights. I bought my tickets off of EBAY seven rows from the field for both games in a corner, two tickets I think got for a little over 100.

Now I can only imagine its ten times worse with fuel costs the way they are plus airport/airplanes have all jacked their prices so it may be a couple years before I return.

I am heading to St. Louis this winter for the game though.

Theyre hard to come by. I picked up a couple pairs of game used pants, JJ Stokes and Jeremy Newberry.

That Keena Turner auto is sweet , I stil can't find nothing of his certified though. I'm also trying to get Lee Woodall and Charles Haley.Those guys are tough to find.I don't like to buy anything that doesn't come with a COA from a reputable third party company or it's a card it has to have the companies coa affixed to it. After watching that outside the lines story I don't want to take any chance that a "prized" possession of mine was really signed by some *sshole trying to make money off of selling fakes.I really think anyone caught forging a signature for profit should go to prison. I actually keep my own 49er "example list" of autos I've got in person, or I have bought that have a "signed in the presence of a psa/dna representative" That way I'm making an educated guess about whether something is a fake based on a sure fire auto and not just an authenticators opinion. I will say though REDANDGOLD, I believe the Turner,Craig are authentic But it's tough with Rice autos, he's a big name guy and one cheats would target to forge. But I don't know for sure I'm definitely not an expert. But I do know Rice has his own hologram he affixes to items he signs at appearances. But the guy you got your picture from could of got it somewhere other than a show. Just throwing some things out there FYI.

Well that could turn out to be a steal then if its real only a buck is cool, PSA, and GAI have a digital review service I think its 10 bucks, you pretty much send them a good close up of the auto, and within 24 buis. hours they will email you back whether they think it is genuine and you should send it in to them or if its fake.Plus if he offered a guarantee on it and it doesnt pass you should get your money back. I used it with a Bill Walsh auto I bought and it came back as "likely genuine" just an idea.

You guys have any suggestions on what would be the best way to ship them. I have them in a protective sleeve already but what should I send them in? I was thinking of sending them in a cheap bubble envelope..and how much do those cost for the envelope and to ship?

Generally all the cards I get come in the penny sleeves and one of the hard protective sleeves. If you're selling a lot of them, get one of the multiple card holders, 25 or so and toss them in a bubble mailer.

Generally a bubble envelope will run $1.30? And the postage will run around the same.

If you're looking throwback you're going to have a hard time finding one. I rarely see anything come up for those guys as game used. I saw a game used/autographed Hanks jersey that went I think for $700, I went to 500 for it but that was still a bit more than I would have liked to pay for it. The dude outbid me and turned around and tried selling it the following week when he received it and couldnt sell it. He ended up selling it for the same price he bought it for, just pissed me off that he pulled that stunt when I could have had it. There is a pair of game worn Jerry Rice and Terrell Owens cleats on ebay right now, I think they both are around 300.

Those plates are pretty cool.

And for that card, 2.00 ain't bad, even though I never really cared for Drop-Jax.

I never had a problem with him, I would have liked to see him play again this year under Martz to see if the connection between QB and WR would be better. There were only 75 of that card made and as soon as that arrives I will have two of them.

Watching his play was frustrating at times during most of the season, but when Hill stepped in, he had his stuff together.. I was kinda sad they let him go because I would have liked to see what Martz could do with him, but then Battle and Hill would have been pushed so far down in the depth cart and I can wait to see Hill get some PT.

If he can stay healthy. I dont know much about the kid but there is quite alot of talk on the message board about him so hopefully he lives up to that.

My collection was filmed by an NBC reporter a few months ago and was shown on TV in a 5-minute feature, so I won't begin to elaborate the extent of my memorabilia.

Unfortuately, the video clip is no longer on the NBC website, which saddens me. I thought I would be able to view it indefinitely, but alas, the last time I checked, I couldn't see it any more.

What I will tell you is that my hall and living room walls are covered with plaques of past 49ers and that one wall is dedicated solely to the 49er Hall of Famers.

My favorite item is a 24 x 36 framed autographed jersey of my idol, Steve Young. The unusual feature about it is a hand-painted image of SY in the middle of the #8. It is a real piece of eye-candy. You'd have to see it in its place of honor over my fireplace to appreciate the beauty of the masterpiece (one of a kind).

Quick question about the green dot under how many posts ive made. What do you do to get more "dots" or what's the purpose of those. I see Jason you got like a maxed out bar ....I want one! lol
