I'm in the Air Force and currently deployed to Afghanistan on Wednesday I will be interviewing Coach Nolan. I was just wondering if you guys have any questions you guys want to ask him. I have no reservations so ask away, just please no, "Why does Alex Smith suck?" at least be articulate about it. Anything you guys have the upcoming season, the draft, his favorite John Travolta disco album anything please ask. Thanks for your guy's suggestions.

That's sweet.
How about...
"How would you compare how the team looks this offseason compared to the same time last season?"
"How different is it working with Martz rather than Hostler or even Norv Turner?"

Why didn't you put Shaun Hill in earlier last season?

I'd like to hear his reply to this...

Ask him:
How does Frank Gore like splitting out when we go empty backfield?
Who beats the jam better, Vernon Davis or Delanie Walker?
What are the plans with Chilo Rachal now that Barry Sims is signing with us?
Does he know TheWiz?
:sfhelmet:
(If he is coming through Aviano on the way back, please send me a private message.)

"What are your exact plans with rookie Reggie Smith? Gonna use him as the nickel back this year or even No. 2 corner next to Clements? And are you planning to eventually move him to Free Safety where he might just have the biggest impact possibility in the NFL?"

Thats definintly what I would ask. The look of confusion on Nolan's face would be priceless.

Ask him if he thinks you'd fit the 3-4.

Does he understand now that he is the Head Coach of the San Francisco 49ers and not an employment recruiter for former Ravens players?

Ask him if he will politely step down if we don't make it into the playoffs this year, and win the west.

Ask him, and I'm being serious about this, as to whether or not we will ever get some consistency in the offensive scheme of things? I.E. will we ever have an offensive coordinator that will stay longer than one season so each year the players do not have to relearn everything from scratch.

Does he think he can coach better now that he sports a Goatee?

he does not fit the 3-4! Get it right man.
He has accuracy but he needs to learn how to read the defense. Honestly, if we had a mentor for him like, say Trent Dilfer, he'd be a threat
Ask him if it's easier to get a tan in the middle east. Haha

How about, what does he consider his biggest mistake as a coach since joining the 49ers?
(Hey, if I have to answer it on job interviews he should have to answer it too!)
Or, what does he consider his greatest accomplishment.

What the hell is wrong with with anyone showing respect to a person serving for our country?

Ask him why he says collectively at least once per sentence.

ask him what he thinks its gonna take to get the "JYOBBB" done (I hate the way he uses that word)
secondly... I must agree, there is absolutely nothing wrong with thanking one of our soldiers for putting his *** on the line in the name of our country.
bash the politicians and war makers all you want but there is absolutely no shame in being a soldier who fights for his country.

How about, what does he consider his biggest mistake, out of the miriad of mistakes he has made, as a coach since joining the 49ers?
Or, what does he consider his one accomplishment?
Fixed.

Why didn't you put Shaun Hill in earlier last season?
He's already answered that specific question a couple times already.. He said that he was injured (finger) and Dilfer was perfectly healthy despite struggling so he left him out until he absolutely had to play..
