if the 49ers can pick up old i.bruce, why they couldn't go after t.glenn from cowboys? i know 49ers need some help at wr very bad!!!!!!!!! but if you're not going after chad johnson or steve smith, then get old @ss t.glenn!

No, they won't, shouldn't, and don't need to.

We really don't need too. Our WR core is looking good right now. We don't have a true #1 but we are somewhat deep and glenn isnt the true #1 we're looking for. Also who knows how his health is. I would think it can't be that great considering the cowboys arent deep at WR and they just let him go

This has already been discussed in the other Terry Glenn thread that exists.

Terry Glenn >>> Issac Bruce at this point in his career...
sadly we won't consider him because we already got Bruce's old ***. sucks but what can you do?
I tend to agree but the knowledge of Martz system makes Bruce a definate plus and a better mentor at this point. Sadly tho the Niners don't need mentors they need contributors as there probably isn't a next year for most of the staff and players.

for more than one reason, i'd actually rather have bruce when it comes to old men. call me a blind homer.. whatever. it's true though. no liezzzz.

why would you take glenn over bruce? his knees are crap. even if we didnt pick up johnson and bruce, i still wouldnt give a contract to glenn. too much of a risk at this point.

Exactly. Didn't want Bruce, but he'll be a big help with bringing the other WRs along. Glenn won't make us any better. He'll take away from the other guys progress. And not having alot of talent at WR they need all the reps they can get.

Please dont ever again say that Glenn > Bruce at any point ever. Bruce would still beat out glenn with one leg. Bruce is a all-time great who has some of the surest hands in recent history. Glenn has never been anything but a mediore #2. He doesn't improve us and is not needed. Bruce is the veteran who all our young wr's should respect based on his lifelong achievements and work ethic. We dont need to pick up every leftover on the market

Nah. We're pretty well set at WR at this point...five of the six positions were pretty much locked before camp started, and we already have an entire class of WR's on board for camp. Not gonna happen.
