im pissed that i have to play so many of these moments to unlock the niners one... and im not even sure which one it is... im thinking the overtime win @ arizona and the objetive is to sack and force a fumble

getting the game was easy...only about 35 people came and they had a table set out and a tournament sheet. i signed up playing as the niners and won my first two games before losing in the quarterfinals. the guys i beat got really pissy because i kept using the same route combinations with davis, gore, and bruce on them, but when theres a cash prize, im gonna be cheap until you stop me.

At the Game Crazy in my town, they were handing out numbers because last year was crazy. I showed up about ten minutes before 12, and was buying beer at 12:10. So stoked!!

i was surprised. this gamestop does the ones for both our mall stores and this little strip plaza... about 300 people showed up for 08 and they had to call the police for crowd control (the "urban" community was in full force and it made some people uncomfortable).

this time though, no turnout. i was thinking maybe because of the olympics being on or something.

yeah, i just picked up a copy at midnight. checked out the rosters, played a game. seems decent, i haven't really gotten into the whole franchise mode or anything like that yet. the graphics are really solid, gameplay has improved. i'll give a more descriptive review once i get deeper into the game. gotta go, peace!

The 08 version, I sent a 5 page document to EA, the BBB and posted them around the different madden sites. I play mostly franchise only. I documented 5 franchises and explained how each crashed and what was done throughout the seasons. I complained to EA and by the time September was here I had already returned the ps3 version and picked up ps2 version. A patch was to come out in October but it ended up coming out in early 08 when the season was over. EA dropped the ball big time so I won’t be rushing out to pick up next gen versions until others test it. Dropping $60-90 for next gen and then it being an incomplete product isn’t my idea of a quality product.

It's pretty good, he throws some nice analysis in there on a lot of the plays. The backtrack feature is kinda cool, Collinsworth breaks down a play via a replay and usually throws in some nice analysis. The commentary is good in my opinion....

I go with the 3-4 playbook and get creative with blitzes. You can put guys in zones and blitz guys with the right joystick.

Try using the lead blocker feature. I use it all the time(even when I am not running, it's good to "fool" your opponent). If you are good at it and do it right, a lot of the time you can just knock over the lineman and open up a good size hole to run through.

Ok - bought this game after work and only got to play it at 11 pm last night before I went to bed.

I was using the Steelers vs the Bengals. Was down 10-0 b/c I was getting used to the controls. in the 4Q it was 13-3, and I drove it down the field for a touchdown. Tried and onside kick - but they recovered with 1:30 left. I still had all 3 timeouts so I stuffed them 3 times and go the ball back. Drove down the 50, saw their Safety cheating, and threw it to my slot speedster Nate Washington for a 50 yard TD to win the game.

This was on All-Pro b/c I suck on the PS3 vs the PS2 for some reason. I'm going to take that Madden Skill Test when I get home this evening.
