Help! I need some good Madden 09 plays to win a tournament

At the walmart near my house there's a madden tournament happening on Sunday. I signed up and there's only 3 others already signed up, I expect there to be more, but not a lot more.
Anyways, the winner of the tournament gets Madden 09 for free. I rented it last night and I'm struggling on offense. It could be because of how good I did on the madden test, but still I haven't been able to find too many of those great plays.
I plan on playing as the niners because I've been able to get pretty good with using Vernon as a fb, wr and TE.. he's kinda unstoppable.

I'm willing to change teams or playbooks if anyone has suggestions. What I'm really hoping for are the special plays that almost always work. We all have at least one or two.. Or I think so anyways. So if you guys could let me know what yours is that'd be great.. I really want this game and I can't afford it for a while.

I run the Baltimore Playbook it has a great combinations of run and pass plays. At least 5 are money plays if your opponent runs the right defensive call.
I run the Niners only but you may want to consider another team. What system is this for?
I use ps2 and this is my lineup for this years game. With default rosters.

I am more run heavy so I use a lot of heavy personnel in two TE sets or run left with Davis run blocking on the outside. I also have Davis as the #2 TE in two TE sets and this is usually the mismatch spot for defensive players.

If you want to change teams you could go with the Raiders, Jax, Steelers, Seahawks or Patriots but the defensive speed is suspect and may need to switch personnel.

I used the Steelers and Seahawks in the tourney I played and got 7th out of 64.

Agreed with the slants... also, 2 TE formations... i use them lots...

Use the SF Playbook, use the play from single back ace. When both TE does outs, SE WR does 10 yd In.

I like having Bruce doing a comeback, Johnson going down field, VD doing the hot route thats down on the RS, and having Gore out of the back field opposite of VD

He gets open much easier as a FB.

Well thanks everyone for the plays, I've been trying some of them out and it's working pretty good. Here's to hoping I win this competition tomorrow.
