I just did a live in person draft last weekend for a 12 person ppr league. I had the 12th pick and was hoping for either Gore or Moss to fall to me at 12, or better yet both  SacSoldier was in the draft as well, he had the 2nd pick.

Our format is: QB / RB / RB / WR / WR / WR/TE (flex) / K / Def

Here's how the 1st round unfolded and the squad I ultimately ended up with.

1st) LT
2nd) Adrian Peterson
3rd) Brian Westbrook
4th) Tom Brady
5th) Joseph Addai
6th) Marshawn Lynch
7th) Clinton Portis
8th) Frank Gore
9th) Randy Moss :(
10th) Peyton Manning
11th) Marion Barber
12th) Stephen Jackson

I was shocked to see SJax fall all the way to 12 to me. Frankly it's the first time I've ever seen it happen, and didn't even think it was possible. I have to have done over 50 mock drafts from the 12th spot and I have never had SJax fall to me at 12

Here's the rest of my team: 12th pick

1st) Stephen Jackson
2nd) Andre Johnson
3rd) Torry Holt
4th) Calvin Johnson
5th) Lendale White
6th) Michael Turner
7th) Joey Galloway
8th) Phillip Rivers
9th) Jake Delhomme
10th) Ravens Def
11th) Robert Meachem
12th) Antonio Pittman
13th) Deuce McAllister
14th) Seahawks Def
15th) Jason Elam K

I wanted to handcuff both Lendale and Turner, but both Chris Johnson and Norwood were taken right before I had the chance to take them. Luckily no one knew who Pittman was so I was at least able to handcuff SJax.

My starting lineup will most likely resemble:

QB - Rivers
RB - Stephen Jackson
RB - White/Turner (whoever has the better weekly matchup)
WR - Andre Johnson
WR - Tory Holt
WR/TE - Calvin Johnson
K - Jason Elam
Def - Ravens/Seahawks (whoever has the better weekly matchup)

Bench: Jake Delhomme, Michael Turner, Deuce McAllister, Antonio Pittman, Joey Galloway, Robert Meachem, and Seahawks Def.

What do you guys think? Any input, suggestions, or criticism is welcome.

He fell in my draft all the way down to #16... so I grabbed him to compliment L.T. for my team....

I drafted these players as well....

Overall. Great WRs, decent QBs, decent RBs (unless Turner tears it up)... Elam is consistant and the Defenses are pretty good. I think your wins/losses will rely mostly on Rivers weekly performance and either Tuner or LenDale.

I'd look to upgrade your starting QB. RIvers doesn't put up good FF numbers.

Nice. Yeah, I plan on rotating my QBs and defenses and plan on playing whoever has the better weekly match-up. Since it's a ppr league, I expect big numbers from all three of my WRs each week, as I'll be counting on them to carry the majority of the load. Having SJax also helps since I consider him one of the top 5 backs. I hadn't initially thought of going 3 straight WRs in rounds 2-4, but by landing SJax I felt that I had the luxury of a top 5 back to be able to wait till round 5 for another RB. Plus I didn't really like the RBs that fell to me in rounds 2-4, with the exception of Thomas Jones in the 4th.

Yeah, Rivers is about as inconsistent as it gets, but I really don't have a choice. Which is also the reason I got Delhomme the round right after to act as an insurance policy. I plan on rotating them anyway and playing them according to their weekly matchups. The QB I was hoping to land in round 6 or 7 was Hasselbeck, but some dude took him in round 2... yeah don't ask... I had the "WTF!" look on my face when it happened as well

Man, I was excited in my draft when he almost dropped to me at #6 lol. I can't imagine him staying around until #12. Good draft :)
