The Cardinals also released former 49ers linebacker Brandon Moore.

Pretty happy he's gone.

He was never going to start over Dansby anyway. The Cards do now know all our defensive schemes though, unless we've had a complete overhaul.

He was only picked up in the first place to give inside info for our week one matchup. He doesn't belong with Arizona's D any more than ours.

Brandon Moore was never good.

Except when he made 15 tackles in a game and was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week and generally had a stellar year. Yes...Moore was NEVER good...except for that time.

Lol @ everyone saying we are stupid for releasing him.

The dude doesn't have it anymore. We made the right choice.

Guess the guy was a one hit wonder!

The coaching staff whittled the roster down to 53 players late Saturday morning, releasing a list of guys that included veteran linebackers Brandon Moore, Matt Stewart and Joe Tafoya.

To a certain few people: :falldownlaugh:

Overall though, I'm a bit surprised. While I didn't think he was a starter, he's not that bad.

Thats too bad about Moore. I was hoping he would miss a few tackles vs the Niners.

Thomas is so much better than Moore. Mike Nolan is a genius.

Clint Longley, as a rookie, came off the bench on Thanksgiving day in relief of an injured Roger Staubach. He finished the game with a 104.5 QB rating (when the average was just around 72) including a game-wining 50-yard TD pass.

And sucked thereafter. He finished out his career in the CFL.

So, your point is what? That Moore was eerily like Jamie Winborn who did the same thing? Or the linebacker equivalent Clint Longley. Or any other second rate player who, for one brief moment, had a freak game only to fade back into deserved obscurity...?

Well, at least you've proven you can see one-hit wonders...

yeah im sure they sat him down for a week and just grilled him about our defense until he revealed all the intimate ins and outs of our system.

brandon moore can play 4-3 MLB very well. its just too bad that even when we played predominately 4-3 looks we stuck with derek smith at MLB despite having someone better in moore.

when we had no choice but to play moore, he played pretty well.

but nolan loves his 3-4 and moore really only fits one spot in that scheme.
