Just curious if anyone has any plans for the opener, I know watching the game is first and foremost, but would like to know if your having a party, or you going to the game, who will you be watching with etc....

It'll be the first home opener I've been to in about 3 years. I haven't been able to make it out to the last few home openers. Definitely going to be tailgating with the homies in the main lot....

I'll be watching the opener and all succeeding ones at HOME. I cannot SEE the plays at the stadium, so I watch the video on TV and listen to the audio of Joe Starkey/Gary Plummer on KNBR.
I don't like missing a single play, so I don't listen to the audio from the TV. Sometimes they talk about everything BUT the game! Makes me furious!

Last night's game vs Chargers was quite exciting! Still thinking about it. Wil be sorry to lose some on-the-bubble players.

Well for this weekends game I will be at a wedding in Washington and will be missing the game. However I am taping it and will watch it the minute I get in the door from the airport. The game against the Rams I will not be there because my parents will but I will be at home watching and cheering my niners on, while screaming at the TV a few hundred times.

I was thinking of parachuting into the stadium at halftime but it suddenly dawned on me that I’d miss half the game if I did that. I guess I’ll have to settle for running across the field in the buff during the coin toss.

If you do that you just may end up missing the whole action and never allowed to enter the stadium again, so I would maybe stick in your seat and just watch. But if you do decide to run across the feild can you do it closthe on and i don't know get some of the cheerleaders phone numbers while your at it.

Wait for Az offense to be on the field and sack Warner! Nolan just might call you for a tryout! :hangloose:

Note to self: Wear a cup when sacking Warner in the buff.

I bet they have the roof closed for the game. So it would just be a thump on the top!

The roof will be closed.
It has been closed for the first two games there and the last one against the Broncos had a 7pm kickoff.

Just got a pair of tickets from craigslist for my birthday to the home opener against the lambs... Lower Box section 4, Row A!!!!!!!!! FRONT ROW!!!!!!!!
These are by far the best tickets Ive ever had for a Niner game ,probably any sporting event period. The best part is that they are front row in front of the dugout where the cheerleaders dance!!!! :sam: :split: :yikes:
Yeeeeeeeeeeeee, YEEEEEEE!
Also of course the normal tailgate at 9 am till 12:30 pm consisting of stuffing my face with food and beer/booze.

Living in Ohio, I will be returning to my ritual of watching games at the local Buffalo Wild Wings on NFL Sunday Ticket.
The 4 p.m. hour kickoff will not come soon enough!

I know for the last 2 years on opening day they have had the planes fly over head of Candlestick to pay tribute to the victims of September 11th. Since the home opener is a week after September 11th, will they still have the planes fly overhead?
