From KFFL:

Patriots | Team acquires Gabriel from Oakland
Sat, 2 Sep 2006 13:02:21 -0700

Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers, reports the Oakland Raiders have traded WR Doug Gabriel to the New England Patriots. The compensation for Gabriel has not been announced yet. The Patriots, with starting WR Deion Branch in a rancorous holdout, were in the market for a receiver.

Well, I guess this means that Deion might be leaving NE. I'm actually interested in what the Pats gave up for Gabriel. He's one of the few Radiers that I liked, and I think he might be just at the point in his career where he could break out. Good trade for NE.

Raiders trade WR Gabriel to Pats.

Branch must be on way out to Seattle.

What did the Raiders get off of him? Johnny Morant has looked really good, which is why I think they traded Gabriel. Porter is still in the dog house. Isn't he?

Porter needs to do 3 things to redeem himself:

Shut up..........suit up...............and 'show' up!

Anything less and he'll remain in Art's doghouse!

What other options do they have? Is Curry healthy?

And they get a 5th rounder for him. Not a bad move by the Raiders if Porter has indeed come off his high horse.

lol @ people who drafted deion branch in fantasy

I actually took him in the 14th round of our 12 team draft. There were no good receivers left. I am holding on to him. Hopefully he becomes a steal playing for another team. Time will tell.
