second-year player Mario Henderson will share playing time with left tackle Kwame Harris against the visiting Panthers on Sunday. He also said little-used safety Rashad Baker will get a chance to play in nickel packages ahead of former No. 7 overall draft pick Michael Huff, who was demoted from starter last month.

As evidence, left offensive tackle Kwame Harris now is competing against Mario Henderson for the starting spot Harris has held all season. They will split time Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, Cable said.
"We have not played well there," Cable said of left tackle. "So we have put that into a competition mode."
I'm not sure what the point of of benching Harris for part of a game is, either play him or don't.
Dang, Huff can't even make it into the nickle package. Yesh, I remember people wanting us to draft him (not that we've done much better).
Although I'm not sure what's more pathetic, that the Raiders signed Harris as an upgrade over Simms, or that we signed Simms to replace Harris. :headhurts:
