Pretty easy to see why it's going that way really. The Cardinals have had all the hype and the 49ers have had none.
Could also be because they're a better team than us? Could be because on paper we have the worst defense in the league and they have one of the most explosive offenses? But wait let me guess, "thats why we play the games on Sunday, because on paper doesn't mean anything." True, but that doesn't mean that every game should be looked at as an even matchup heading into it.

If the media kept pounding for three months that the Lions were as good as the Colts, there's no doubt in my mind that a poll would show most fans believing it despite how ridiculous it really is. This is more of a poll to show how successful the media is with their propaganda than who is actually the better team.
So the teams are equal in talent, is that what you're saying? Other than media hype, you see this as an even matchup?
(Never mind. Answered above.)

no it means both teams suck, and the one that sucks the least will beat the other sucky team, that sucks just a little more. yes the cards suck still and no they will not do anything this season even with the new awesome stadium.

This is more of a poll to show how successful the media is with their propaganda than who is actually the better team. This is it indeed. First off, it's an ESPN poll. Those things ALWAYS go the way of media hype and slant from Sportscenter or Monday Night Countdown. Second, all we've heard about is how the Cardinals have Edgerrin, their 2 top recievers, and now Matt Leinart- but it's not like Leinart will be starting Week 1 (although he'll certainly end up starting later in the season when Warner gets knocked out), and further more, it amazes me how people act like Edgerrin will still get 1500 yards and a bunch of TD's behind that o-line. Again though, people just base their opinions on the little 30 second breakdown of the Cardinals that they probably heard or saw on NFL Live.
That being said, I still think the Cards will pull it out.
