Shannon took it to the extreme. According to Marve, he was prohibited from transferring to 27 schools.

That includes all 11 of the other teams in the ACC, all 12 in the SEC and four others in the state of Florida. Even lower-level programs such as Florida International apparently now terrify the Hurricanes.

If you read the article it's basically the author calling out Miami and other schools for prohibiting players from transferring to other schools. What do you guys think of that practice? I think it's BS, just like the author does. Sitting out one year is punishment enough, you shouldn't be banished from entire side of the country.

Yea its pretty pathetic what Shannon did. I understand not allowing a player to ransfer to another conference school or rival school, but the entire SEC??

Why would you block a player from going to a school you're never going to play against anyway?

its BS. your messing with a young kids future and I cannot forgive a coach for doing that. you have a 17 or 18 year old kid commit to your school after you throw him a bunch of BS so he comes to your school and before he truly knows what he is doing. you then punish him more then what NCAA requires.

thats bush league by Shannon. the sad thing is Mavre can't do anything about it.

He can't do a dam thing. But i guess there will be the bad publicity for Miami, and the fact that Marve's high school coach (apparently at some power house high school), is going to try his best to keep his players from going to Miami.

It's pretty ****ed up. Marves dad has cancer and he lives in south florida. The kids gonna have to go half way across the country to play football and go to school.

There should (and will be) fallout from this. Ironically Miami as a program isn't anywhere close to what it used to be. I find it repulsive/amusing that the restriction would include in-state teams like FIU. Pfft, Miami WISHES it was Florida or FSU. There's no place for that in COLLEGE sports.

Shannon will burn for this one.
