1) Flacco isn't that good.

2) We had a #1 overall pick at QB going into his 4th season and we had just signed Hill to a contract.

Flacco was seen as a work in progress when he was drafted. He has the tools but def had much room for improvement. Now if your defination of being at his peak is where his team finishes, then that is just stupid. So if a rookie QB struggles but his team won the SB, he can never get better despite playing poorly that year?

Flacco to me is no better than Trent Dilfer. Reason being? He's doing enough on the offensive side of the ball to keep the Ravens in the game by not making stupid mistakes, turnovers, etc. The Ravens DEFENSE is what keeps them in the game. Much like it did when Trenterception went to the Super Bowl a few years back, and Dilfer is a TERRIBLE QB.
