Make sure to have some time for reading, because it's a tad lengthy, but that monthly column discusses...

Mort and the Raiders
Cris Carter putting a bullet to T.O.'s head
Ed Werder's sources regarding Dallas
Stephen A. Smith interviewing T.O.

Chris Mortenson has lost his credibility a while ago. I still remember when Shefter broke the fact that Art Shell would be fired. Chris Mortenson went on air to report of all things "that he has nothing to report on the situatino between Oakland and Art"...simply put ESPN and Mortenson felt pressured by a rival journalist who actually had a story that they had to try and be a part of it...

That's curious, I haven't heard much mis-reporting on his part.

That's curious, I haven't heard much mis-reporting on his part. i can't think of the specific examples off the top of my head right now, but more than a few times he's attached the Redskins to certain players for certain during free agency, only for it to not turn out, just because they're an easy team to throw out there for any journalist...i have no idea why Schefter gets the automatic credibility pass he does compared to guys on ESPN, he's never proven to be more reliable than anybody on that network on a consistent basis, he's certainly no better than John Clayton or Sal Paolantanio when it comes to reporting, let alone Mortensen.

Mortenson broke the Josh McDaniels hire by the Broncos last Sunday.
