Pretty interesting that DTs don't get paid more, they should at least be paid like OL due to the same amount of impact they take on every play.

DT's tend to just be gap stuffers. generally speaking their job is to occupy two lineman so a linebacker or DE can get free to make the play. they are much closer to drones/pawns when compared to the highly skilled position of offensive line. OL requires much more technique as well as blocking assignments for each play and they need to learn to pick up blitz's etc...
