They pre drafted him. Every expansion team gets 5, and this will be their fifth. It wasn't too long ago that they were an expansion team, but they sure waited a while to use their fifth pre draft.

Did you really not know that?

The Jags coached the South team, and they probably let him borrow one of their helmets. Also, Jack Del Rio used to play LB at USC. Cushing looks like his kind of guy.

Here is an article on Cushing (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/the_bonus/09/08/cushing.usc/index.html) you might like...

In June, Sanchez, who no longer rooms with Cushing, flew to New Jersey for a weekend. That Saturday, on an open field behind the Church of the Nazarene in Paramus, N.J., the two headliners worked in 90-degree heat at a youth football camp run by Stengel. Asked what it's like to be hit by Cushing, Sanchez winced, then detailed his first pounding. Rolling left out of the pocket during a practice before the Texas game, the quarterback prepared to throw downfield. Channeling his inner Vince Young, Sanchez scrambled toward the sideline, then felt an arm grab under his throwing arm and was tackled into a fence that lines USC's practice field. "Brian just threw me," Sanchez says. "He was laughing and said, 'Sorry, dude.'"

Carroll asked if he was okay. Sanchez then watched his coach pat Cushing on the back, and say, "Way to get after it, Cush."

A similar scene played out during last year's spring game. Disregarding the prohibition from hitting the quarterback, Cushing gained hold of Sanchez on a play-action pass play and leveled the quarterback. "Only Cush could get away with something like that," says fullback Stanley Havili. "He doesn't care if you're Mark Sanchez or [reserve tailback] Marc Tyler."

Sanchez and Cushing are at the top of my dream list at #10. Jack my grab Cushing, which would be a bummer.
