i first saw this guy play two years ago and he was amazing. i didnt realize then that he was only a sophomore in high school. 260 pounds is scary but notice this guy's got a fair amount of muscle. what's scariest is that he's only 16 years old.

Yeah, he won't shed LBs in college as easily as he did in high school.

He's going to have to keep growing at the rate he's at and keep getting faster if he'll succeed in college. There's many, many more of people his caliber in college.

He seems faster than everyone else on the field.

That happens a lot in HS...
I know that. But where are you getting that he's too slow from? He's fast right now, so you can only assume he'll continue to be fast. You're just basing your assumption off his size and his use of his size. I know what you're saying, but you never know; maybe he will continue to be fast, even in college.

fast is such a relative term. Fast in the HS will be much different than fast in college. he's not going to outrun many people in college at the size.

I know. I doubt it too. But it could happen. And even if he is slow in college, determination and heart are more important anyways. So who's to say he can't make it as a HB?

I don't think it'll be just the one happy meal too many ;-)
Seriously, this lad will be way to big if he's not careful. Hey, someone had better turn him into a NT!

Jerome Bettis was recruited at a NT by virtually every college other then Notre Dame who wanted him as a FB.
Wood is legit. Last years #1 rated Bay Area RB was DeLeon Eskridge who started at Minnesota as a true freshman. This year's #2 back was Desarte Yarnway who just signed, the #1 back was Patrone Wood.
He's big like i said but he's got a nice amount of muscle too.
Oh, I've been following Deleon Eskridge for years. He ran all over our team's defense for like 300 yards or some crazy **** like that as a junior. He's one badass mofo. He then started on Minnesota and did pretty **** well for a freshman.

when that guy's an adult, he'll be OL/DL. way too thick for anything else. few people stop growing at 16. he's going to be a fire hydrant -- low, thick and strong. if he doesn't end up over 6 feet tall, he'll never be in the nfl.

This kid has talent, but he's too overweight even now to play RB. He has a good burst, but gets caught from behind in the open-field, which shouldn't happen to a division 1 type talent in HS. He could be a legit RB if he could drop his weight and stay around 240. He could be a great DT.
I use to play with a guy like this kid in jr college. His name was Joe hall. He was taller than this kid, but faster. He had problems keeping his weight under control and by the time he made it to Kansas St., he was around 300lbs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhqrXKDexXM

I think this kid can break tackles on any level, he has plenty of quickness and speed for his size. I don't question his talent. I only question whether RB is his best position, and whether he can control his weight, but he can have any type of career he wants if has the passion and discipline to hone his skills.

Anyone remember Ron Dayne in HS and College?? Its rare a big back can be that dominant and versatile in the pros (ala Jacobs and Bettis)
He will end up a FB and if he transitions in college that well, I'd fall in love with the kid.

He's slower than cold peanut butter pouring out of a jar? Possible FB or could keep growing and be a DT.

I don't know. Last I heard, and this was some years ago, he was in camp with the Rams as a TE, but he's probably 28 or 29 now. He maybe out of football entirely. Joe was crazy talented, he had legit 4.5 speed, was rumored to have run a 4.4 coming out of high school.
There was a lot of talent on that team we played on, a few guys made it to the league, but I don't know how many stuck around.

You guys realize hes 16?!!?!??!?!!
Hes too slow, hes to big, not agile, cant catch blah blah blah. He's still a kid. He has PLENTY of time to slim down, get faster, work on his moves. but at this point all he has to worry about is running over the other little kids, and getting quicker and faster in the meantime
